What so many of you are forgetting is that UND Athletics is only a fraction of UND.

Well, that'd be the fastest way to ... make schools move from FCS to FBS. If you don't believe me, look at the number of schools that jumped from DII to DI-AA when DII lowered its number.

How? FCS doesn't come up with an option other than FBS (one level of DI FB) or DII. If that were to happen I wonder how many FCS schools would look at dropping football.

I recommend that you travel south and see if you can't merge ... Clemson and South Carolina Auburn and Alabama Mississippi and Mississippi State North Carolina and North Carolina State Heck, why not even just go for ... Kansas and Kansas State Iowa and Iowa State. Colorado has money issues. Tell them to merge Colorado and Colorado State whilest you are at it. Like I said before, this smells of the Shelbyville monorail (reference: The Simpsons).

Folks, this may be the UND Athletics board but there is more to UND than just Athletics. I'd be disappointed if any new campaign didn't address all aspects of UND (students, faculty, programs, facilities).

Techncially, Northern Illinois goes by NIU where Northern Iowa goes by UNI. The person who started this thread got it wrong.
