So which should you believe: or Hint: Do power-grabbers get big severence packages? No ... but people who've be sabotaged do (as noted by the Forum) ... You see power-grabbers have no basis to sue. People who've been sabotaged do.

So a minority sect in the Christian faith has a problem with Starbuck's retro logo. Some like it; some not. And it's a logo modernized from one from the 1970s. Where've I heard that before ... I say let Starbuck's do what they want, free expression and all. I'll vote with my feet (and my feet and the rest of me needs coffee). They'll know how I feel. But what's funny is Starbuck's is so naive that they believe .... Do they really think good deeds and works will save them when it comes to a logo? Those won't matter to the zealots. The parallels here are just eerie: Go Sioux.

Given that it looks like Duncan is going to stay, and knowing the advice his dad has given up to this point, that would not surprise me. I could see a scenario where it is only Blood coming in at defense this year. With a total of one game of collegiate goaltending experience on the team a veteran defense would seem to be a desirable asset.

In Fargo you get no choice: CableOne. In West Fargo you can get either Midcontinent or CableOne. (I'd go Midco.)

No Dan, Paulsen voted to pass every finalist on to the SBoHE. That backs up the notion that Paulsen wanted final say. VandeWalle knows.
-
That does appear to be playing out given today's USHL draft. Relooking at the Schlossman article: Kaip, Radke, Oshie, Forney --> Hextall, Lamoureux, Gregoire, Toews JP Lamoureux --> Eidsness Bina --> Blood Could we really be hit with so few early departures?
-
You know Dan, I'd listen to you but when the Chief Justice of the NDSC goes on record I'll listen to him instead.

Wrong. (Paulsen, Espegard)

Paulsen denied a second term on ed board

So, given that Brad doesn't "Don Adam" this stuff, that's a goalie, a defenseman, and 4 forwards. Eidsness for Lammy; Blood for Bina. 3 forwards are gone (Kaip, Radke, Oshie), yet 4 are expected in. Interesting. I think that's a good lead on this thread ....

Davidson? A project brought in by the coaches. Forney? He's been set up that 2007-2008 was not a year of eligibility. There has to be a reason. I've given my thoughts on them before also. Like I asked elsewhere, are Mike Cichy or David Toews the same caliber as were Jon Toews, Zach Parise, or even Drew Stafford (the three youngest forwards to come in this decade)? I ask because they'll be the same age as Parise when he arrived. They'll be younger than Brad Malone was this fall. Are they ready or would another year of preparation make them better? This is why I don't envy this part of Dave Hakstol's job.

I'll start with the answer: Simple Math. Now the question: Where are the slots in on the roster? The only known openings are Kaip, Radke, and now Oshie. Hextall was supposed to come in fall 2007 but injury prevented that. (Davidson filled that slot.) Hextall's almost assuredly here fall 2008. Gregoire is coming off a USHL PotY season. That seems obvious. But then you have some open questions: - Mario Lamoureux is 20 this fall; Does he play another USHL season? - David Toews fell in the draft rankings; What happened there? Is the knee a problem? Does he need a USHL season? - Mike Cichy couldn't break the top 25 in USHL scoring; Is he ready for the WCHA? - Brett Bruneteau was left unprotected by his USHL team; Do they know he won't be in the USHL next season? Hakstol (and Blais and Gasparini before that) seem to run with 15 forwards on the roster. Only 3 are gone (as of now). How can some of you have all of these players all coming in this fall (unless some more slots open up).

See ya later JQP. Paulsen rejected for 2nd term on higher ed board

I've seen that speculation somewhere, .... now where was it. Oh, here it is. [/smirk]

The value of the dollar has ______ against other currencies in recent days. Thus, the number of dollars it takes to buy an ounce of gold, or a barrel of oil, has shot rapidly _____. Want to run on gas? Build the refineries. We have the oil in Alaska. Want to run electric cars instead? Wyoming has more uranium than Saudi Arabia has oil. But you can't build a refinery or a nuclear plant. But oh will people whine when their car has to be parked or the lights don't come on.

I have it more like 2.4.

The etymology of "warrior" is Old French (just like Sioux derives from French). "Indians" are people from Mumbai or Calcutta. Don't mess with the French or Indians. Those are their words. Find something else to call yourself, like Lakota or akicita.

And you thought I was kidding here and here.

South, toward Missouri. And in closing, ladies, really: Mercedes? Porsche? Grace. Space. Race. Meow. (purr)

Ah, good to see another stay-at-home "natural born sniper" ala Matt Greene. :D

Nine (but I cheated). I'd move those baseball resources to a mens sport that we have suitable facilities for already, have decent chances to be nationally competitive, and that could draw more people to games (gate revenues). Yeah, it doesn't make me popular with the baseball crowd, but until global warming really kicks in or UND gets a baseball dome, climate is an issue.

No, actually, he's buried. It's just that some just can't let a man like the rest of us, with deeds both wise and foolish, rest in peace.
-
The only thing more toxic upon all parties involved? Grandstanding elitism. Whups.

You've just rattled off all of the reasons why a Bison fan wouldn't want to see lax at UND.
