Florida (SEC) - Florida State (ACC) Clemson (ACC) - South Carolina (SEC) And the lack of love between Texas and Texas A&M won't change when A&M goes to the SEC.

I thought this was hockey and a jersey was just something to protect you from the puck and the other guy's blood spatter. Instead, there's all this fashion chat. Will chamomile tea and cucumber finger sandwiches be served as the discussion continues?

Folks, you're analyzing a grainy, black-and-white photo of a photo? (The National Security Agency could probably have a better image through the roof of REA if this was a national security type issue). I want to see them on ice. (Unfortunately, tomorrow it'll be Hi-Def TV because I can't be in St. Paul).
-
Sounds like a personal problem.
-
I wouldn't bet against that.

I think I agree with Bill Maher. I need a shower.

The American Public? You mean that Sesame Street minded short-attention-span group out there today? The group that if you polled 100 people nationally on the street right now, more would be able to tell you the movie that premiered last night at midnight than could tell you the name of their Congressman or could find North Dakota on a world map? That American Public? If you're looking for that immediate gratification and nothing more (no substance), "7 out of 10*" group to come save you, you're in tougher shape than the SL lawsuit in Federal court. They dozed through the Patriot Act (from the right) and Obamacare (from the left). The American Public won't awaken over this. * thanks to KFAN's Dan "Common Man" Cole.

To Shawn-O's point, I've heard many state that they don't care the outcome anymore, they just want this sideshow over with. <-- Moniker fatigue. There's more of it out there than I think any of us would guess.
-
And it worked. The captain of the team you support is more interested in playing than what's on his shirt that day. Whoever said "overwhelming support" isn't anymore has proof right there.
-
That deserved repeating for emphasis.
-
It takes far more than---SQUIRREL! (We'll see who gets that obscure reference.)

The reason I like the black pants and helmets is that seldom does the green on the helmet match the green on the jersey match the green on the pants and it's distracting. See: UND FB uniforms.
-
The Herald article says they are just removing the logos and "Sioux" sticker from the helmets and taking the logo off the leg of the pants. Black pants, black buckets it is.
-
It doesn't matter how much diplomacy you have if the other side won't talk to you.
-
http://www.grandforksherald.com/event/article/id/232679/ "UND has new jerseys in three colors — white, green and black." -- Not just a light and a dark? That's, what the call in poker, a "tell".

Why come after me? Go after Mario Lamoureux. He's the one that said, “If anyone’s focus is on a jersey or what we’re wearing, that better change right away. We’ve got one focus." Seems Mario is more interested in playing and winning than what is on his shirt. Good for Mario. PS - Oh yeah, I'm really a plant. I joined this forum in October 2001. I supported the moniker and logo, until it because a net negative to the University thanks to the NCAA.
-
At the time Stenejhem signed he stated that he'd worked with the Tribes in the past and believed something could be worked out with them. That's diplomacy. But Standing Rock would not discuss the matter.
-
You're locked onto blaming the current administration. The settlement agreement was signed by the ND AG (Stenejhem) and the NDUS Chancellor (then Goetz) before Kelley or Faison were at UND. The State's lawyer and Kelley's boss (the Chancellor) had settled this before Kelley and Faison got to UND.

A NDSC ruling in favor of the SBOHE could benefit all Higher Ed.
The Sicatoka replied to WYOBISONMAN's topic in UND Nickname
Ruling? No. March 15 was the date that oral arguments were given before the Court. No date for a ruling was given. I'm speculating that it'll be before June ballots would to do the printer. -
Seems a great green horde will be overtaking The X for another weekend.
-
DaveK, Fetch, Chewey, somebody called and left a message for you: “If anyone’s focus is on a jersey or what we’re wearing, that better change right away. We’ve got one focus." -- Mario Lamoureux, captain, University of North Dakota mens hockey. Seems Mario believes what is in the jersey is far more important than what is on it. Jersey, no jersey. Nickname, no nickname. Mario wants to win. Get out of his way.

I'm assuming you misspoke here because if not you really, truly have missed the entirety of the discussions and should go back and re-understand the situation. But just in case you really were serious, the answer is: The NCAA. Sanctions under the moniker include (not a complete list): - no use of the word or logo at NCAA post-season events - no hosting of NCAA playoff games <-- devastating to FB and WH (NDSU's FB title run was done hosting maximum home games)
-
What would the NCAA tell Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Louisiana - Monroe, Arkansas State, and the others that changed due to the NCAA moniker policy? "Oops, changed our minds again. Our bad. Sorry for the hell we put you through." The moniker policy will only expand in the future. How dare I say this? Look at the words in the Settlement Agreement that I posted yesterday. The NCAA added specific language talking about what happens if no tribal approval exceptions are allowed under the policy in the future. They added that because that is their end game and end goal.

The Sanctions and Punishments Have Arrived
The Sicatoka replied to The Sicatoka's topic in UND Nickname
... if the national media gave a damn about the policy or UND. They haven't since Aug 5, 2005, and don't expect it to change. The media is somewhere between useful idiots and willing accomplices in this as the carry many similiar political views to the NCAA folks that concocted this policy. Looking to national media for help on this will just leave you looking. -
Someone call Geraldo Rivera!
