redwing77 Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 It would be nice to Radke get in the game tonight. Yeah, but LaPoint and Marto played well last night. Can't take Genoway out. Mertens has been hot lately. Maybe sit that penalty prone Jones. Quote
siouxforeverbaby Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Yeah, but LaPoint and Marto played well last night. Can't take Genoway out. Mertens has been hot lately. Maybe sit that penalty prone Jones. i know who you mean but who the heck is MERTENS? its martens. Quote
redwing77 Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 i know who you mean but who the heck is MERTENS? its martens. Fricken A! Mertens is the teacher I'm working on a school project for! GRR!!! Work and play getting mixed is not cool. Quote
The Whistler Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Yeah, but LaPoint and Marto played well last night. Can't take Genoway out. Mertens has been hot lately. Maybe sit that penalty prone Jones. Are you referring to "Jailbird Jones?" Quote
The Whistler Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Fricken A! Mertens is the teacher I'm working on a school project for! GRR!!! Work and play getting mixed is not cool. Don't worry I always calll in Erwin. Best you just quit that work stuff. It's a bad habit, the best way to quit a bad habit is to not start! Quote
HaksHomey Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Are you referring to "Jailbird Jones?" "Jones in the box?" the new Color Me Surprised on Western College Horses*** blog... I can't wait for the INCH podcast losers to refer to his numerous penalties as "punk moves." Is there a picture of him in box on GPL.com with the caption "UND Class" Jones, what a thug... Quote
Sterling Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Personally I'm still a little concerned with our scoring, but I have zero concerns with our defense. Sioux finish it 3-0. JPL's last game at REA will be shutout with rousing standing ovation during his curtain call. Quote
Bob in Wisconsin Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Can some of you at the game tonight tape the final skate (if it happens), just in case fssn doesn't cover it? Quote
siouxforeverbaby Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Fricken A! Mertens is the teacher I'm working on a school project for! GRR!!! Work and play getting mixed is not cool. it is ok, i was just messing with you. It was kind of funny. and I can try and get the final skate though someone else might want to try as well. Quote

brianvf Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Personally I'm still a little concerned with our scoring Those 4 goals last night weren't enough for you? Quote
The Whistler Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Those 4 goals last night weren't enough for you? Four more per game for the rest of the season would be fine with me. Provided of course we hold the opponents to three and under of course. Quote
AZSIOUX Posted March 15, 2008 Author Posted March 15, 2008 Four more per game for the rest of the season would be fine with me. Provided of course we hold the opponents to three and under of course. 3-4 goals per game and we arent losing the rest of the way! Quote
BigGreyAnt41 Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 3-4 goals per game and we arent losing the rest of the way! Well, since I'm so bored, I figured I'd check how true this is in the national tournament. Going back to to 2003, which was the first year of the 16 team field, only 9 times has 4 goals not been enough to win a game. That's 9 out of 75 games. 12% 2007 Regional First Round- North Dakota over Michigan 8-5 2007 Semifinal - Boston College over North Dakota 6-4 2006 Regional Final - Maine over Michigan State 5-4 2006 Semifinal - Boston College over North Dakota 6-5 2005 Regional First Round - Boston College over Mercyhurt 5-4 2005 Regional First Round - Colorado College over Colgate 6-5 2004 Regional First Round - Maine over Harvard 5-4 2003 Regional First Round - Boston University over Harvard 6-4 2003 Semifinal - Minnesota over Ferris State 7-4 So, with our defense the way it is this year, I definitely see 3-4 goals winning every game from here out.
