dagies Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 I'm going with Blais. His 25 year old Canadians will kick the snot out of Woog's MN high schoolers. Quote
Old Time Hockey Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Maybe Hak can play Eaves next year! Quote
farce poobah Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 If Campion is reffing, I gotta go with the Wooger. No way can Blais kill off 20 powerplays. Quote
UNDLeafsGuy Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Maybe Hak can play Eaves next year! Perhaps an Eades and Newberry rematch Quote

Let'sGoHawks! Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Blaiser wins! When exactly is this occuring? I need to be in my seat for this, I can't wait to see Woog booed! Quote
Old Time Hockey Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Perhaps an Eades and Newberry rematch That would be fun too! Bird and Hak puttin the boots to the Bucky braintrust! Quote
sagard Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Is the the real Blaiser or are you going with a mini-Blais? I'm going with Wooger taking revenge on the guy who basically pushed him out of the job. Hopefully he fires out a jersey pop or two. Quote
bienek Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Doesn't get any better than this! Two former gophers going head to head. Quote
PCM Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Hopefully he fires out a jersey pop or two. Won't matter. Blaiser will have the glove flash going. Woog will be too distracted. Quote
siouxnami Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Won't matter. Blaiser will have the glove flash going. Woog will be too distracted. I'm hoping Blais is down by 3 midway through the third and Woog calls a time out to quiet the crowd.. Quote
airmail Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 I have to ask... is this really happening? If so, well done by the REA staff. (or to whomever the credit belongs) If not, shoulda woulda coulda, and fun thread anyway. Quote
dagies Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 I'm hoping Blais is down by 3 midway through the third and Woog calls a time out to quiet the crowd.. Is there any way to pull the goalie in bubble hockey? If one of Blais' freshmen defensemen takes a penalty, can he just skate right out of the bubble? Quote
Fetch Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 they said on the radio -it's at 6:30 on Friday Quote
82SiouxGuy Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 they said on the radio -it's at 6:30 on Friday Doors open at 6:00 on Friday night. The grudge match will be at center ice at 6:30. They are going to have at least 1 camera on the game and play by play so you can sit in your regular seat and watch the action on the big screens. Quote

Also, $2 green beer for 30 minutes after the doors open, to get properly tuned for the bubble action. Wooger will likely down at least $20 worth before the action begins. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 This is kind of off topic, but does anyone remember the old U.S.A vs. U.S.S.R bubble hockey game? The Circus arcade in Grand Forks used to have one and there is one in Dickinson at the local community center/restaurant/bowling alley. If your opponent hogs the puck behind the net for too long, there is this button you can push up to three times that makes booing noises. It's just a classic, classic piece of Cold War/Sports memorobilia. I'd like to get a hold of one of those as a collectors item/toy. Quote
PCM Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 I remember when table hockey was played with no bubble and a puck that featured a heavy ball bearing. That baby could knock out a tooth when it left the rink! Quote

I've been toying with the idea of getting rid of it. If you are serious, drop me a PM. Quote
mikeypat15 Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Betting lines are established (By me) Blair -200 Woog +310 Coaching records Blais: 262-115-33 (.679) Woog: 390-188-40 (.663) Quote
sagard Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 It's all going to come down to goaltending. With Woog being built lower to the ground he should have a better view and prevail. Quote
