SiouxFanatic Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Great win for the Sioux. And I must say congratulations to the Michigan Wolverines. They are a great team and this game definitely could've gone either way. I thought Lammy really picked his game up in the third and it showed by Michigan not getting a goal. Let's just hope it doesn't take that long to get in his comfort zone against Minnesota. GO FIGHTING SIOUX!!! Quote
Sioux-cia Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 And...boom goes the dynamite! Dynamite!!! I thought they used silicone?? Quote
MafiaMan Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Dynamite!!! I thought they used silicone?? That's a reference from the Ball State sports guy video...ever seen it? Hilarious! Quote
HockeyMom Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 That's a reference from the Ball State sports guy video...ever seen it? Hilarious! BOOM! Goes the dynamite. Quote
Sioux-cia Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Are THOSE available too on channelsurfing.net? Don't know but on CSTV there's a bunch of college girls running around an outdoor field carrying sticks with nets on the end of them. You could try there?!? Quote
HockeyMom Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 I'm seriously shaking after this game, I think it's because even though the game is over I still don't feel comfortable with a 3 goal lead. Quote
Let'sGoHawks! Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Sioux will beat umn-tc tomorrow. There is no way the golden ones will beat UND again. Quote
andtheHomeoftheSIOUX!! Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Oh yeah Sioux!!! What a win! That was a terrific bounce back from when they were down 2-0! Go Fighting Sioux!! Take care of the Gophs tomorrow! Quote
Goon Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Phil might have been the player of the game, believe it or not. Lotsa saves in the last 30 minutes of the game. Some has to wipe that part of Phil memory. Quote
MafiaMan Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 BOOM! Goes the dynamite. Someone knows what I'm talking about! Ball State Sports Guy Quote
The Whistler Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 One thing to give credit to the team was that they didn't take a lot of dumb penalties. The only one that I think was bad judgment on the Sioux's part was Lammy's. Quote
Sioux-cia Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 I'm seriously shaking after this game, I think it's because even though the game is over I still don't feel comfortable with a 3 goal lead. I missed the whole first period! Thank God!! My ol' heart barely made it through the second period. Philippe looked like he got his groove back in the third period so I didn't go through all my nitro tabs. Quote
Let'sGoHawks! Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Hensick has skills, but what a stupid penalty! A 10 minute misconduct when your TEAM needed you. I vote for anyone but Hensick for Hobey after this one. Quote

I vote for anyone but Hensick for Hobey after this one. One single positive play over the course of a season wouldn't a Hobey award winner make, so why would a negative play mean an automatic DQ from the race? Quote
Sioux-cia Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Someone knows what I'm talking about! Ball State Sports Guy PAINFUL to watch. *Gotcha* Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Hensick has skills, but what a stupid penalty! A 10 minute misconduct when your TEAM needed you. I vote for anyone but Hensick for Hobey after this one. It was speculated that he received the misconduct for something he said, which isn't great character or sportsmanship for a Hobey finalist. May have given away the individual award with that as well. Quote
Shawn-O Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Someone knows what I'm talking about! Ball State Sports Guy He reminds me of a young Anthony LaPanta....only more talented. "And the Ball State women's team was shot down, and ended up doing poorly.....oh, no." Quote
Sioux-cia Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Hensick has skills, but what a stupid penalty! A 10 minute misconduct when your TEAM needed you. I vote for anyone but Hensick for Hobey after this one. What did he do?!? Quote
HockeyMom Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 One single play over the course of a season wouldn't deserve a "yes" Hobey vote, so why would a negative play mean an automatic DQ from the race? I watched the little background thing that they had on Hobey Baker earlier today. I think that a ten minute major would disqualify him based on what kind of a person Hobey Baker was. Quote

Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 One single positive play over the course of a season wouldn't a Hobey award winner make, so why would a negative play mean an automatic DQ from the race? I have read that he is a selfish player as well...a penalty like this supports those claims. Bottom line: Hensick's career is over, Sioux move on. Quote
MafiaMan Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 PAINFUL to watch. *Gotcha* Did you get to the part where he ESPN'd it up on the Reggie Miller shot and dropped the signature line? Quote
MafiaMan Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 I have read that he is a selfish player as well... The new Phil Kessel? Just kidding! Seriously, this was a gut-check win for this team tonight. You know what they say about winning big games...you get to play MORE big games. Quote
OETKB Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 It was speculated that he received the misconduct for something he said, which isn't great character or sportsmanship for a Hobey finalist. May have given away the individual award with that as well. Receiving a 10 min disqualification in an CN$$ game is the kiss of death for winning the Hobey. Especially if your team loses. The NC$$ loves winners from the East. If you don't qualify, too bad. Okay - really proud of the Sioux comeback tonight. This team seems like the type that can play with anyone. GO SIOUX! Quote
Sioux-cia Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Did you get to the part where he ESPN'd it up on the Reggie Miller shot and dropped the signature line? Ouch, yes! He was sooooo bad!!! If it weren't a college kid, I'd be wondering if someone wasn't messing with the teleprompter to purposely mess him up. Quote
