FIRE HELMET GUY #26 Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 So is the discussion going to start already on the conspiracy of how the GOphers always get the late-prime time game? Quote
Sioux-cia Posted October 12, 2006 Author Posted October 12, 2006 So is the discussion going to start already on the conspiracy of how the GOphers always get the late-prime time game? Who said the Gophers were gonna be there?!? Quote
Sioux Hockey Fanatic Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Tickets are a bit more this year, but they are going to donate a dollar of every ticket to a charity. The dead line to get your re-order in is Nov 18th which is about 10 days earlier than last year. Quote
Shawn-O Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Mar. 17 - 2:07P 3rd Place Mar. 17 - 7:07P Broadmoor Trophy Championship Game When St. Patty's Day and the Broadmoor Trophy game fall on the same day, it just doesn't get much better than that in St.Paul. This will be a very, very good time. Quote
siouxguyinstpaul Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Who said the Gophers were gonna be there?!? lmao but if they are there - it is a foregone conclusion that the N.Y. Yankees of NCAA hockey will get prime time - everybody knows this and deals with it. Its unfair in many instances - but who cares, right? Quote
siouxnami Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 So is the discussion going to start already on the conspiracy of how the GOphers always get the late-prime time game? That rule is history. Quote

mikejm Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Regardless of who is on the ice at the Final Five, there is no better place to be on St. Patty's Day than downtown St. Paul, wearing a green Fighting Sioux sweater. Quote
Goon Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 So is the discussion going to start already on the conspiracy of how the GOphers always get the late-prime time game? Too early to start that discussion, we can save that for a later date. Quote
Goon Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 That rule is history. Weren't they going to kill that rule in the future, the Gophers are going to make it first for that discussion to take place. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Got mine in the mail today as well. This is the best conference tournament in the country. Period. It's as much a big party as it is a hockey tournament. But I think the best part is walking around the "X" in my Sioux jersey and getting cold stares and smart remarks from Gopher fans. I can't WAIT until March!!! Quote

Yep - and I'm in the parade every year - sporting my kelly green Sioux jersey - lots of fun. Quote

MafiaMan Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 So is the discussion going to start already on the conspiracy of how the GOphers always get the late-prime time game? Probably not, FIRE HELMET GUY. Thanks to Gopher superfan Kim Jong Il's threat to detonate a nuclear weapon unless the Gophers get the 7:00 pm semi-final game no matter what, WCHA commissioner Bruce McLeod has backed off of a promise to give that Friday night time-slot to the #1 seed, no matter who it is. MafiaMan Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Iranian troops march in Tehran at a rally organized to show support for the University of Minnesota. Troops sang "The Minnesota Rouser" which was promptly followed up with chants of "death to North Dakota". In other news, I'll be back at the Final Five in 2007 to watch a sloppy drunk Runninwiththedogs try to slosh, stumble, and electric slide her way into winning Dance Mania. Quote

Listen, old man. I don't know how to do this "electric slide." in PCM's day, was it the "acoustic slide?" Quote
keikla Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 Listen, old man. I don't know how to do this "electric slide." in PCM's day, was it the "acoustic slide?" Yikes, that's just like my grandpa saying he used to play the kerosine guitar before electricity came. As for the final five, Mr. and Mrs. Siouxman, I hope I can trust you to purchase three tickets this year Quote
MafiaMan Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 Listen, old man. I don't know how to do this "electric slide." in PCM's day, was it the "acoustic slide?" My bad. I forgot that you were a little past being a child of the '80's. You're more gangsta rappah than Vanilla Ice. Quote
DLW4GOPHERS Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 The WCHA FF can stand on its own merit. This tourament will sell out for the championship games whenever Wisconsin, ND, SCSU, Mankato or Duluth are playing. If you have a championship game of CC and Denver, attendance may be in trouble. We are past the point of having to say the Gophers get the night game, because its the only way it will sell out. Does anyone remember what the attendance was at last years final? Quote
