Goon Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Rennsalaer (spelling) Polytechnic Institute out east. It is a very good engineering school. Not much of a hockey school though. Quote
fightingsiouxfan57 Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 It sounded very clear to me that goal tending is what saved the sioux. Any comments from people who made it to the game. Goaltending helped give them the opportunity to win and the team made the most of it by putting the puck in the net. Some of those goals came on 2nd and third effort. It was exciting to watch. Quote
spfreak Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Not much of a hockey school though. Very true Quote
redwing77 Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Not much of a hockey school though. I dunno... the men's team had a few good years... a few NHL stars came from RPI like Adam Oates as an example. Quote
dakotadan Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 I agree. Hopefully they want to play for the Sioux, no matter what state the program is in. Last I heard it was still in North Dakota. But maybe it moved over to East Grand. Quote

fightingsioux4life Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 I have stated this before and I will again: The Lamoureux sisters would give our women's program instant credibility and a big shot in the arm talent-wise. It looks like Rivard might have struck gold with this freshman class. This is probably her last chance to build a winning program here. Getting the Lamoureux sisters here would probably put us over the top in terms of having a winning team. Quote
