It appeared to me like both Michigan and UND wanted to play a run and gun type game and that usually produces more save opportunities for goaltenders. Phil didn't have a great game, for sure, but Sauer flat out didn't show up. Michigan's D never adjusted. UND had a bad first period and first part of the second period. But UND got better as the game progressed. Michigan stagnated and sort of tried to outslug us, which works provided the D is there to prevent any retaliation. Sauer looked incompetant all game long. And people thought Montoya wasn't very good his last year... this kid is in trouble professionally. notice my icon, it was a backhand stab at RED ASS, he made it sound like we didnt deserve the game if you remember Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

AZSIOUX Posted August 8, 2007 Share Posted August 8, 2007 Much better than 06 and 07. i am fine with 06 and 07, you cant get first rounders every single year, some work and some dont, thats yet to be determined, this season will have a lot to with that for sure, with what we have coming in 08 and 09 we need these type of 4 year players for sure... What we really need is the rest of the 05 class to step up this year, especially the forwards (Watkins/Miller/Kozek). We need more goals now that JT and CP are gone.
