I guess the way that I look at it is, if you can't respect our country enough to know the laws, stay in Canada. Don't let the USA door hit you on the ass on the way out. In other news, I'm taking I-57 east tomorrow and then taking the I-84 bypass around Mayville. Then I'm going to take I-39 north to Grand Forks. Highway Patrolmen are called State Troopers in North Dakota. And yes, you are correct, they have different police powers than Deputies- at least as far as jurisdiction issues.
