fargosioux
First title in 16 years, and now they are going to run off 3 in a row, according to Burish: Article When questioned whether or not he thought that the Badgers could repeat as champions without him during Sunday's Championship Rally at the Kohl Center, senior Adam Burish boasted that he could see them completing a three-peat. Weren't you part of the the old "glass is half empty" crowd last season as well? Trust Hak, despite the departures the Sioux are doing a solid reload and will still have an outstanding group of Sophomores.

I think with what will be left will still be better than probably 97% of the teams.
Five-HoleFrenzy
Interesting as this is somewhat comparable to comments made by Grant Potulny after Minnesota completed their back to back titles in Buffalo. Three peat after winning two titles is maybe a little more believable than a statement after winning one and that did not come to fruition. Another example is Denver after last year with how well Fischer and Mannino were playing plus having Carle back and a host of talented forwards. You could have easily predicted a three peat for Denver and as it turns out they didn't even make the NCAAs. Better to keep the pie-hole shut and not create bulletin board material for your opponets but given that, thank you Adam Burish for adding to the already large target on Bucky's back for the rest of the WCHA. brianvf
That's highly debatable.....especially since half the Sioux roster will be gone. Wow, half the Sioux roster. So we should be expecting at least 10-12 early departures this offseason?

ATLSiouxPhan
I think the Badgers could definitely threepeat, but will have to work hard at it......It's hard to threepeat.
Piper
Talking about a 3-peat right now is laughable. They'll certainly be very good next year, but they might actually have to leave the state of Wisconsin for the NCAA's (I know Gopher fans have no right to complain about other teams getting home ice for NCAA's). As a Gopher fan, I have to admit that this offseason will be a long one. Our most hated rival won the NCAA Title, and our season ended on our second biggest rivals home rink in the greatest upset in the history of the NCAA Tournament. NorthDakotaHockey
With Eaves and his "system" in place, hopefully the old adage will firmly take hold. One. And done. As we have seen over the last three years, or four of the past six or seven years, winning a title is a tough thing to bring to the finish line. Championships are special. Kudos to Wisconsin, and to all of the teams that have won them. The team banners at the Frozen Four are cool. Time for North Dakota to string a few more years on that piece of blue and white NCAA vinyl.

DLW4GOPHERS
If becky losses elloit, theywill be lucky to get home ice in the WCHA next year. If they don't lose any underclassmen, they will be favored to win the WCHA next year. Then all they have to do is go out and do it. It won't happen. brianvf
Do their 3-peat chances diminish a little now with Earl gone? Maybe Elliott will follow, but I doubt it. They will still be a very good team next season...
wakeboarding_crazed
Wisconsin will never three-peat as national champions. They've lost Robbie "Dive" Earl to the pros, and Adam Burish, Tom Gilbert both graduated. Elliott is a possible flight-risk to Ottawa, so they could be in a world of hurt in a couple areas. Especially if Elliott does sign, then Wisconsin will be a middle of the pack team next year.

That would be one year short of the three-peat and they lose Elliott to graduation. End of three-peat chances.
