If he hits the portal I hope we go after him

Would expect North Dakota and then everyone in the B1G (besides Michigan State because that bridge has been burned) to go after him if he's there

Unless he has "Do not contact" by his name as some players do....

Clark confirmed by Russo

Knowing that UND is likely covered at Forward unless someone dips that isn't expected, he might be a nice edition for the leadership core next year. Right now, you would have Dalton Andrew, Anthony Menghini, Cade Littler, Cody Croal, Mac Swanson as your upper classmen of forwards for next year.

I didn't follow the rodents enough to know how his game looks, but pretty sure his folks went to UND back in the day. Doesn't sound like the Rickwood type we need, but if we have to balance out the classes and don't seal the deal on any high-end CHL forwards, maybe he'd be worth a look?

Guessing Clark stays in the state of Minnesota

Neumeier is hopefully coming our way, from SK and played in Bismarck then Fargo.

Klimpke's older brother I've had an eye on for a while as a potential senior presence up front a la Tyler Young.

If Potter is interested, absolutely, but don't break the bank for him.

We probably lose an unexpected forward and/or D. I wonder if 22 getting ice at the end of the season was to avert a flight risk.

Multiple teams cutting 7 players is wild; probably teams with new coaches.

There are also just teams who have had guys not perform up to a standard and teams need to improve. Lots of CCHA, Atlantic, Independent teams with brutal depth.

Interesting perspective on Neumeier, would be a jr. next year.

If playing Klee was to avert him leaving, then one can also say that playing Klee instead of Littler in the FF semis made Littler a potential flight risk. Not sure I understand that logic of playing a freshman over Littler, who has a good net-front presence & has an extra year of experience & maturity on Klee. Coaches no doubt saw something, but with 2 players being relatively equal in talent & drive one goes with the more experienced one. Seems like a miss on the part of the coaches, but hindsight is always 20-20.

I personally didn’t mind playing Klee over Littler. I thought he brought more physicality and better forechecking presence. Basically the types of things you look for out of your 4th line

Ludtke is an interesting one to me. He looked like a stud at Omaha, but his production really fell off at Minnesota. If he leaves, he’d be a very good buy-low option for a lot of teams

Wonder if Cullen Potter stays at Arizona State or enters the portal on Monday.

Potter “technically” told some press back when he got hurt that he was returning to ASU.

Schloss mentioning his name in his article makes me think otherwise. I’d guess we will see him in the portal. Only thing with him is not sure how strong he is in the faceoff dot

Keeping Klee is part of remaining a destination for former pros' kids. Simpson on staff, Blake, Young, etc. are all good for our reputation in that circle.
