redwing77
Thanks as usual, PCM. I remember several instances in which several key players got in trouble or nearly got into trouble for going out after the game. On the flip side, I remember running into several players at Applebees (Mike Commodore, yeah that dates me) on Columbia or Ground Round (Brandon Bochenski and Chris Leinweber) and watching how laid back they were and they weren't really doing anything other than getting a bite to eat. AZSIOUX
thanks PCM! my favorite Q&A TH: When it was 7-2 on Saturday, it would have been nice to see someone take a shot at him. Mike Prpich tried to. DH: I
Wilbur
Boy, this was the first time I've listened to the show in a while, and I'm glad I took the time too. I can't believe how many stupid questions that Hak had to put up with.... Examples:Maybe your team should party on Saturday night instead of Friday night.Fan insinuating that they should have played Zach (mistake of course for Jordy) on Saturday night.Wouldn't it have been good to see a player take a run at Paukovich?Question about the UND getting money on the logo like Florida State....Hak took these questions with a lot of class, and I know that Deano would've probably said something he would have regretted. I really have no idea why Swyg and Hennessy would want Hak to go on the record and say something about how he would have loved to see someone take a shot at Paukovich. I think we all know what he wants to say, but he can't just say something like that on the radio.....

I think we all know what he wants to say, but he can't just say something like that on the radio..... Excellent points. I'm a huge fan of Hennessy's work on Sioux hockey (I don't mind that he's a blatant homer ), but I've long felt that he repeatedly puts the coaches in tight corners on the Coaches' Show. For years, he not only allowed questions about recruiting; he sometimes asked the questions himself. Frankly, Tim and Swyg sometimes come off as being not very smart. Again, I love TH's work overall. I just think that the Coaches' Show needs someone to function as a moderator.

MafiaMan
Ahem....when you lived in the same dorm as Scott Sandelin, THAT dates you. I had many business classes with Dave Hakstol (and Jason Herter, for that matter). Along the same lines, PCM went to kindergarten with with Fido Purpur! PCM
I want to bring something to everyone's attention before my fingers lock up and I can no longer type for the day. For the past two weeks, a Sioux fan has copied and pasted my Fighting Sioux Coaches' show summaries to a Hockey's Future message board. The disclaimer was not included and no attribution was listed referencing the source of the material. While it probably was not the intention of the person who did this, copying and pasting my work without attribution is the same as plagiarism and I take a very dim view of it. In addition, there is no mention of the fact that this is not a comprehinsive, verbatim transcript, but a paraphrased summary of highlights. Treating the summaries in this manner invites their misuse, which can get the coaches and radio show hosts in trouble. That's why I include the disclaimer on every show summary I post. That being said, I am not against people reposting my coaches' show summaries as long as they:Ask for and receive my permissionGive me creditInclude the text of the disclaimerOf course, it's much easier to avoid all this by simply posting a link to the summary on SiouxSports.com. I don't understand why people don't do that instead of copying and pasting the text. I have attempted to contact Hockey's Future, the HFBoard moderator and the person who posted my summaries. So far, I have not heard from any of them and the two posts have not been removed. I hate to say this, but if neither Hockey's Future nor the person who posted my summaries takes them down, I will stop writing the summaries and posting them here. I know it's not fair to punish everyone for the actions of few, but I am not going jeopardize the Sioux hockey coaches or those associated with the radio program just because some people refuse to abide by common courtesy and follow a few simple rules. Paukovich was quoted as saying his coaches were ok with him getting in a fight with Sioux players on Friday but not Saturday. No DU coach was quoted disputing Punk's statements. Hmmm, classless, gutless, etc. me thinks.

AZSIOUX
Glad to hear Fabian is OK. from the herald http://www.grandforks.com/mld/grandforks/sports/13066968.htm Junior Erik Fabian, who was held out of Saturday's game against Denver with an upper-body injury, skated with the team Wednesday. His status for the weekend series remains in question, though.
