i dont care what system he runs, he didnt know how to use his post last year, he wont use this one, had 6 7 on the bench couldnt find a minute for her, the four started the first 28 games she was the radio stations player of the game numerous times throughout the season, had a handful to maybe 10 double doubles throughout the season benched her the last 2 games, who benches a 28 game multi time double double starter, radio station player of the game numerous times, came close to averageing a double double on the season, only an idiot does that

No offense meant here but, the 6'7 girl couldn't play DI basketball at the Summit league level. She couldn't run well enough and he skills offensively were incredibly limited.

I know the head coach is in your cross hairs, and he may very well be in over his head, but not playing the 6'7 girl was the right move. Not finding DI talent in the portal last spring is on him, big time.

one of our posts was consitantly a double double and was close to averaging one and stepped out to make the 3 and then was benched the last 2 games of the season

Benched … why. What changed.

You have to be referencing Ava Miller she was not benched  in SU game, I didn’t watch the Omaha game but NDSU game she got in foul trouble  early in that game and then sat out major minutes in second half with four fouls and then when she entered game picked up her fifth foul. I don’t know for Omaha if was going with your experienced players in tournament or she didn’t match or filt ior he chose to not play her more minutes.  Also was she hurt I don’t know but I am not going to speculate but she had played significant minutes all season this is not productive criticism unless you have definite facts.

i see we’re looking for assistant coach so must have assistant coach that has left because there was opening posted march 19. I am curious to has left.

Assume you are talking about Ava miller. I didn’t notice she didn’t play much the last two games. She had some good moves at the post but again had to get to her spot. I didn’t look at her three point percentage but would assume it wasn’t stellar along with most of our players.

started first 28 some games benched last two, minutes limited, who benches a consistent double double player, her replacement had zero everything in her stat line

she started first 28 games or so starting spot was given to someone else... coming off the bench instead of starting... she was a consistant double double and nearly averaged a double double no coach in their right mind does that

biggest coaching gaffe i ever seen im my life, she wasnt good enough to start for the first time in 29 games, obviously mentally it will affect your game one way or the other so frustration with her environment foul trouble insued, after not being good enough to start the game and then being in foul trouble she was all of sudden good enough to start the 4th quarter with four fouls, who does our extremely stellar coach tell her to gaurd to start the 4th with 4 fouls, the summit league POY Koenen, 13 seconds into the 4th quarter NDSU post entry passes to the POY and Miller fouls out walling up to defend, the absolute worst do your player dirty scum of the earth thing i have ever seen from a D1 coach, just atrocius, there is no speculation she wasnt injured, its a fact she was replaced by someone else in the starting spot, thats as bad of coaching ive ever seen, not even a high school coach is that dumb, the first omaha game miller played 30 minutes had 8 pts 11 rbs, the second omaha game was overtime played 37 minutes had 11pts 12rbs the 3rd omaha game in conference tournament loss she played 11 minutes scored 4 points had 2rbs, yep thats right the stupendous coach decided a double double the previous 2 meetings against omaha wasn't good enough to be a starter in the win or go home conference game, what a moron, just for reference the Miller replacement in the starting lineup for the omaha conference tournament game had this stat line, 0 for 6 shooting, 4 turnovers, 0 assists, 4 rebounds in 21 minutes

I think we can see whose parent this is and why they have such an issue with Hutter right now

@Kab

wrong ava Miller is not my daughter but any parent or any concerned fan thats close to a player watching that could easily sympathize how crappy he did her, you're not very bright if you think a parent whose daughter has 2 years of eligibility left would be dumb enough to call her coach a moron in writing, in fact it's quite possible im not a parent at all

So how did this “moron” go 26-3 his last year at Mayville State?

Yada, yada, yada, etc., etc., etc., repeat, repeat, repeat, wash, rinse, repeat.   Please make your final argument and move on.  Thanks.

Who do you think is going to have a better Summit League career Pearson or Hutter?

Pearson will wipe the floor with UND next season, and that will answer your question, the tommies are big strong and physical and so were her Duluth teams she coached, the current players their fit her coaching style like a glove

So how did the Mayville Maestro go 7-24 this year at UND?

Lol.  Couldn’t be the talent of the players he had to work with, could it?   I’ve heard every excuse made here except for the talent level of the players themselves.  They are not responsible for anything evidently.
And I guess within year 1, Hutter was supposed to erase a decade of UND futility in the minds of any potential transfers, along with personally cooking homemade gourmet meals for the team while he also flies a private jet to all away games.   Did I miss anything?

There’s a C in Bismarck.

How did mayville win 1 game this year?

In part, they had a more difficult schedule playing in the Frontier.

The number of teams they played that were ranked or receiving votes was higher than Hutter's last year.

Jamestown can attest to the level of play in the GPAC was different than the North Star.

I am sure Hutter will coach at least to the end of his contract.

Mayville also beat a d1 team (I forgot who) Hutters last year at mayville. I’m sure they would have been fine in any conference at that level
