Can anyone explain how the USA women get undefeated Sweden in the semis, while Canada gets the Swiss?  You'd think Canada would have to play them based on us being higher rated?

Because overall Switzerland is one of the top 5 highest rated teams coming into the tournament. All of the top 5 teams are in group A so you don't have the US and Canada putting up double digit goals against France and Japan.

Sweden was ranked out of the top 5 but played a much easier schedule. Leading up to the Olympics, Switzerland is better than Sweden.

There is not fighting in the Olympics, but NHL Player Safety is in charge of suspensions and Wilson and Crinon will not be suspended for a game.
