Romfo is clearly a leader of this team. Schmidt himself mentioned that Jerry needed to learn the offense better last year(slight hyperbole) and not verbatim. Jerry could have been a mess last year, we will never know. But I live in the now, and look forward to the future. That includes Romfo.

the three leaders are ruck, Malachi, and Jerry.

Career - 126/129 for a 97.6% conversion rate.

Don't think that is making the point you were hoping for...

Now lets look at the 73.68 field goal percentage last year, and 4-7 this year for 57.14% that includes a block with his long being 38 yards, he is 25-26 on point after, woopy!!! should never miss those. But being 57.15% is not good i dont care what anyone says. All other things have been good on specials other then our Kicker, thats the one position were a coach should have 100 percent confidence in if you dont next man up.

...and here I thought Sheduer Sanders was the most covered and talked about QB3 this football season.

You guys would all like to listen to the Hawk talk podcast from yesterday.  I listen to it on iHeart but there are prob other apps.  Schmidty talked a ton about how great Jerry has been in spring and fall camp and then to this point in the year.  He mentioned JTJ as the backup and didn’t bring up QB3 one time.   I really enjoyed listening to him break down the defensive strategy.   Pretty cool.

Good he might be the best qb we have seen in the D1 era outside one year of Hansen. He was just special wish we could have had 2 years of him.

I don't think anyone has defended the FG (lack of) execution this year. It needs to be figured out from all aspects.
UND was T-3 last year in FG% in the conference with the same guy. I doubt he forgot how to kick.
Someone else brought up how bad the XP's have been the last few years and that part is just blatantly wrong

what's the downside of trying the younger kicker?

Im not talking XP here strictly field goals, if you were 73 percent in a big conference your not the kicker anymore thats why we bring in other recruits. I think they need to atleast let the other kickers attempt FG’s before it looses us a game.

Here’s another defense of Kostich. Per Hero sports and PFF, UND with top rated ST in FCS.

We aren't complaining about the dam coach, we are complaining about the kicker, who is currently 57% on field goals.

Wow what a list! Full of powerhouses!!

If you follow the link and look at Offense and Defense you will see that all the big names are included.  Just didn't make the top of ST rankings.
