Regarding the Ruck's...this is from Grinnell so obviously not gospel by any stretch.  By I could see them returning to WHL for one more season and then going NCAA.
There were multiple comments in that thread that mentioned that the Ruck's visited UND last week...also no idea on SOURCES? for that.  Haha.

If they are returning to the WHL for another season, UND is definitely in the mix. To be fair, Grinnell is asking for rumors that are real or fake and most of the comments about him being on UND’s campus are from burner accounts. I can tell you with certainty that no visits occurred last weekend.

Mac Gadowsky is a good example of players that feast on Atlantic hockey teams then struggle once they get to a tougher conference. Watching him live when ASU played Penn State it was pretty crazy to remember he actually made the Hobey top 10 in 2025.

Must have been during a weekday then.   

Yeah, if they return to WHL for one more season, I could see UND being in play for 27/28.
Assuming Reschny signs at the end of this season, but part of me thinks Zellers returns for his JR season unless he absolutely explodes this year.
Zellers, Simpson, Williams...Ruck's?  Could be real fun to watch.

During the week is definitely possible. I know some staff was out of town over the weekend.
 

I think UND will be in on some high end forwards for 27/28. I could see one the of Brock England, Nolan Fitzhenry, and the Rucks come to Grand Forks. I’m betting on the Rucks returning to Medicine Hat and playing a year of NCAAs after.

True, he went from AHA to B1G talent he plays against. I didn't get the hype of him being an All-American and Hoby Top 10. He was pretty mid when I saw him play, but also Penn State was over hyped.

Him saying that the Rucks met with about 15 teams last week is laughable. There is absolutely no way that they have had conversations with more than a handful of teams, let alone a quarter of the teams in college hockey.

I appreciate what Grinnell tries to do to promote the game, but he tries too hard & it makes things weird quite frankly.

 

Would assume that the Ruck Twins have a few schools at the top of their list & will go to the NCAA after one last go round in the Dub.

Every advisor worth their salt has elite talent narrow it down to 5 immediately.

I would guess Mathis Preston will do the same and play another year in the CHL and then come to college next year. I would think he would be a target as well.

I took the 15 schools comment as a tongue-in-cheek thing, because in his previous tweet he told people to message him with any and all rumors, true or not. I think it was just meant to be a comment about how nobody actually knows anything, but everyone wants them at their school.

Sounds like there is some truth to the rumor of the Ruck’s visiting UND last week. The ND Ice Official podcast said today that there has been a couple of big name western Canadians on campus for a year from now.

General rule roughly seems to be the guys that are fringe 1st rounds and lower by now you would have guessed would have committed 

 

They don’t really need the input as much from the team that drafts them because that input will be pretty straightforward. Play college if you think you’re ready, if not play a year of juniors then head to college for a couple years until you’re pro ready.
