Lot of people wondered about their goaltending after Forsberg, but the new kid has been good for them. RR scored 5 in the first, and beat Davies. Central big over North. Minot over Dickinson Mandan over Bismarck High. Haven't seen a score from Grafton or Williston. *Shanley over GPR 4-3 DL got the game-winner with 16 sec. to play. Quote

I saw a highlight from the game last night where WF's 1st line made a hell of a play for a highlight reel scoring chance but the DL goalie read it like a book and turned it into his own highlight reel play. I was impressed. I really thought Davies was going to beat RR, holy smokes. Does this put RR at #2 in power rankings and Davies at 4 or 5 with WFS? Dare I say DL at 3? Minot continues to be better than I thought as well, so they must've reloaded pretty fast. Legacy and Mandan might be the only other 2 in the west in the mix to be able to knock them off at some point. I'm interested to see how the Jamestown vs Legacy game goes on Thursday. If Jamestown hadnt lost 6-1 to minot, I would have had Jamestown in the mix of the top 3. Quote

Goalie is a bit inconsistent but can be really good. Making state is going to tough Quote
Wilbur Posted December 17 Author Posted December 17 Current EDC power rankings: 1. Central 2. Red River 3. Davies 4. Devils Lake 5. Sheyenne 6. WF 7. North 8. Shanley 9. GPR 10. Mayport Next two for Devils Lake are Red River at home and at Davies before the break. 1 Quote

Wilbur Posted Sunday at 03:40 AM Author Posted Sunday at 03:40 AM Central over RR 6-2 with 2 EN goals at the end. Young Mr. Marto had himself a game. Lot of poise and patience with the puck. 1 Quote

Lot of poise and patience with the puck. I thought he was mostly invisible out there for most the game. He was in thr right spot on a lucky bounce with the goalie way out of position on the game winner. That leads me to my next point there could be a goalie controversy on the horizon with RR as their backup goalie is better and should start to see more PT. Quote
Wilbur Posted Sunday at 08:13 PM Author Posted Sunday at 08:13 PM Follow the puck has the Tonka-Spuds highlights and that is just another level. The goaltending and playmakers in that one was special. Should be a prelude to the state tournament. Quote

Need to get over to Moorhead to see them live Quote
Brim006 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I’m not sure EGF is going to win another game this season. Getting spanked by GFC tonight. Haven’t beat a single MN team yet? Quote
Johnny Five Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Mandan goes up 3-0 in second. Legacy chips away to make it 3-2. Towards end of second period Mandan scores on their own net on a delayed penalty. I didn't know how to clip the play so here's the PSP video if you wanna see it, forward to the 1:35:40 mark to watch it....crazy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Hgd7iPDG7g 1 Quote
Brim006 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Wow that is a crappy way to lose. McKenna just did that for team Canada the other night. Quote

Brim006 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Looks like Mayport is 5-1 vs Minnesota teams and 0-3 vs North Dakota teams. Judging by their schedule which is mostly filled by A minnesota teams, they are going to end up having a 15 or 16 win season. Good for them. Another sign that there are a lottttt of really bad 1A varsity hockey teams in Minnesota. Hence why Wahp has been so successful playing there after 2 decades of 0 win seasons in the EDC. Quote
