In youth sports, the biggest behavioral issues aren't with the kids.

It's with the out-of-control live vicariously through their children parents in the stands.

I was in Fargo Saturday as my daughter’s team from St Louis Park was in a 12U tournament for the weekend. 10 in the morning parents drinking in the parking lot. I’m sure that has nothing to do with it though

Wasn't it not more than a year ago a Fargo teams moms started a fight with each other and maybe even players as they came off the ice?

Some rosters released and I see that Deziel is at Central this year, which all but wraps it up for them unless the team gets busted at a UND party near the original Red Pepper on a weekend.  

Still too early call for who makes state, but....

WDA-Century, Mandan, Minot, Legacy

EDC-Central, Red River, WFHS, and Davies.

Some newcomers to watch in the EDC are Marto for Central, and Fitzpatrick for Sheyenne.  Both likely gone after this season I'd assume.

Central   -     huge gap    -   Red River - West Fargo - I guess flip a coin for a Eastern tendy on a heater?

West:

Minot   -  Legacy ----- huge gap    -    Mandan   -    Maybe Century?....  but going to be a WDA tourney coin flipping fest for fourth

I looked up a few of Minot's good underclassmen from last year and a good chunk of them are gone.  Keller, Roteliuk, Packuluk, Deshamp.  Not sure who the guy in the net for them is this year. 

Olson losing Fylling and the best d man in the state hurts as well.  My sleeper team is Mandan for the WDA title.  Return a good goalie, and play with an edge.

Minot went east for a Jambo last weekend.  Now it's just a jambo, some kids may be gone, out or what have you....but they beat St. Cloud 6-1, beat EGF 3-1 and lost to Red River 3-2.  Pretty solid showing out out of the gate.
