Listening to KFGO on Mondays around 4:10 pm today, they talk about sports from the past weekend. Katie Hale is on with them normally but not today. They mentioned the team, how they did, and how big a turnaround the season is compared to last year. A guy calls in and asks how many Canadian players are on the team. They said 7 and went on talking matter of factly. Had to been a goopher fan. I was hoping they would have mentioned that the gophers would probably be in better position if they would have gotten some of their own.

If memory serves me right, PSU went into last weekend's tilt with Michigan with only 10 healthy forwards; on top of that, they've now lost another forward who is also their captain. An injury bug reminiscent of last year's UND team. They're a gritty bunch who didn't shy away in the least from Michigan; the definition of a blue-collar team. Gadowski's got his guys playing hard every shift.

Valente had a very good 18 year old season of junior in the J20, just got buried a bit at Providence, good to see Ferschweiler turn him into a dude though

If Dana Borges gets the job or leaves, Johnny Walker will replace him for the ACHA team.

So, Sandy and Strand are trying to revive the North Star Cup. Funny how Minnesota is against it, guessing they don't get that sweetheart deal like last time.

I’m sure if the games were hosted at Mariucci every year and get to keep bulk of ticket sales they’d totally be all for it.

I almost feel like this would be a stepping stone job for most of these guys. Ford is interesting because while it seems like he'd be going backwards given his current and more recent positions in the AHL and NHL, he's the only Brown alumnus on that list. One would also think that any of these guys would want some comfort about the kind of support they'd be getting from the Brown administration given the recent history of that program.
