brianvf Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Schloss posted his college hockey preview with a prediction for each conference as well. Very well thought-out and researched article, as usual. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/the-heralds-conference-by-conference-college-hockey-preview While picking the order of the NCHC this year is a crapshoot with all these CHL, USports, AHL/ECHL players, etc...but his placement of SCSU (4th) and ASU (7th) is definitely a little surprising. I would guess that those two schools would be flipped. Herald predicted order of finish 1. Western Michigan 2. Denver 3. North Dakota 4. St. Cloud State 5. Minnesota Duluth 6. Colorado College 7. Arizona State 8. Omaha 9. Miami Quote

Said goaltending should be decided quick because their freshman from the USHL coming in has been dominant the last 2 seasons. I’d still pick them lower than ASU, though. I think Omaha is going to be the team that is sneaky good and finishes higher than predicted, guessing 6th. Duluth will also be on a different level than they were last year. Not saying Duluth finishes top 3, but I think Schloss has then accurate at 5. Quote

I’ll give the benefit to ASU to finish higher in the conference. 1 Quote

nascar99 Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Really interested to see what happens in Michigan Tech Minnesota. If UMN can boatrace the Huskies, it may signify that they're way better than I expect. 1 Quote
brianvf Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Perron starts the season at Michigan on wing on the first line for them. We'll see how he does for them... Quote
brianvf Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Michigan crushing cupcake Mercyhurst early, 3-0 only 7min in. FR Cole McKinney already with 3pts (1g/2a) in his first collegiate game. Quote

brianvf Posted October 3 Posted October 3 SCSU goalie playing well...it could be 3-0 Aug at this point. Quote
brianvf Posted October 3 Posted October 3 QU and BC tied at 1 after 1. Mich leads Mercy 4-1 after 1. I wonder if a Perron blind behind the back pass caused the turnover that led to the Mercy goal? 1 Quote
Blackheart Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Watching the Gofer pre-game on Fox 9 in the Twin Cities; they play Tech at 7. Pat 'the Rat' Micheletti picked this guy to be Rookie of the Year for the B1G Mistake...I wonder if he's related to GAVIN McKenna? Quote
Wilbur Posted October 4 Posted October 4 I love the way Rand Pecknold's teams play. I'd love to see our team play that way. 3-1 The Q. 1 Quote
