The tendies too. Each of the past several years it sure felt like the incoming transfers had been promised the net to mostly be theirs, perhaps barring a huge difference in performance. i readily admit that TJ caught fire down the stretch and served the team quite well during that time. However, earlier in the season Hobie’s save percentage was appreciably better and to my (admittedly untrained) eye, he looked better playing the position. Can anyone say they were comfortable watching TJ flopping all over the place, sliding way out of position all the time? I think part of his statistical improvement during the year was the rest of the team adapting to his floppy style and helping to bail him out a bunch. Never have I seen so many pucks pulled off the goal line by D and Fs. I would have felt better going with TJ down the stretch if they had platooned more 50/50 early in the season and he truly set himself apart. That being said, yes, maybe there was something showing in practice too, but I still think as a grad transfer he was promised the net unless he completely blew it or Hobie turned into an absolute dominator. 1 5 Quote
Godsmack Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Tristan Lemyre from Western to Minnesota State. Does that mean the purple cows are the odds on favorite to win the natty next season? Quote
NoDak Hockey Nation Posted May 7 Posted May 7 I wonder if Komzak ends up withdrawing from the portal… I saw a picture of him in a team workout recently. Quote

brianvf Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Last day for portal entrants. We still might need to grab a dman and forward from the remaining group. Not much left in there though. Zetterberg is still intriguing to me... Quote
brianvf Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Wow, did not see him going to MSUM. Surprising...nice pickup for them: 1 Quote

Inevitably some guys surprise and are better than you think they would be, and others don't transition as well. There seems to be so many guys that you think would be bottom six, but who knows. I will take a crack at what seems appealing albeit based on nothing. Zellers - CHL Guy - James Swanson - Rickwood - Menghini Gordon (rumor yet) - Littler - Strinden Croal - Kernan/Klee - Zakreski Andrew - Klee/Kernan - ? Now if the other rumor about McMorrow is true, where would he fit? Bunch of very good players that play hard is very good, but where does everyone get slotted? You know with guys like Perron and Boisvert where they get slotted in the top 6, but a lot of these guys I have no idea where they would slot. Will be interesting to say the least, but I am excited about the prospects of getting guys that are all in. We got our CHL guy, and a huge bonus beyond that. Can’t wait to see the next surprise. Once again a new coaching staff has injected excitement and hope into a UND program. Hopefully this reverses the apathy that took over the program. 6 Quote

When the next destination game in Austin was announced what, last fall, I more or less shrugged my shoulders and moved on with my day, resigning to the fact I wasn’t going to go. Now it’s actually something I’m kinda excited about possibly attending. 2 1 Quote
