We were all hoping most of the roster would enter the portal. Unfortunately, there are only so many NAIA spots available these days so they stayed D1.

Crap, I thought you would have been smart enough to move on. If you know so much about the program, can you tell us which perverted parent of a former player is sending emails/text messages to high school girls bad mouthing the program? I’m not saying that’s you, but your bizarre posts would make you a prime suspect. I find it despicable that an adult would want to do anything to cause unhappiness or stress in the life of a young woman excited for prom, graduation, and a future college career.

I guess i don't know what or who your talking about, but I can gather from your post that if you had a daughter that was being recruited to the team her to know or yourself to know about the mental abuse the toxicity the personal attacks the blame the players and assistants went through, the narcissism, bad enough that most of the team and the coaches were seeing a psychiatrist to cope and you wouldn't want to know that many of them wanted to quit, you wouldn't want to know about the screaming and loud yelling altercation between the coach and some parents in front of other teams at the conference tournament in front of us and everyone else was about, you wouldn't want to know why 2 assistant coaches were leaving why multiple girls were in the portal, you would just rather your daughter could goto prom in peace, well sorry to inform ya but the players all have snap and insta and when something is toxic their hearing about it, it was said earlier that you can open doors and poeple will listen, we'll if you really cared about these student athletes you would knock on a few of these doors and find out exactly how many hours was billed to the wbb team for mental health purposes and once you found that number to be embarrassing and and unacceptable you would then knock on a few more doors because you care about the student athletes well being to significantly lower those billed hours

But @iramurphy this person may have a point:

The coaches he (assume it's a he) questions did bring in a portal (grad student) who shot just 21% overall, just 10% conference, for UND. They must be bad talent evaluators to bring such a weak, ineffective fourth-year. But that student-athlete's parents must be elated that 10% conf FG shooting got a free year of college. To me that seems like a terrible recruitment miss; I hope it didn't bring other baggage.

sounds like they got the least from their roster and not the most from their roster by this statement, and I would agree

The player had two unremarkable years (about 80 minutes total) at ASU before going to UND and UND got more of the unremarkable same. Seems like the coaches should've kept looking. <-- I'm agreeing with you, aren't I?

What am I missing? One coach left to go be a HC.

The other has a law degree who is pursuing a career in that field. (Who played 4 years for Hutter at Mayville, and must have a good relationship with him and decided to come coach for him as well)

Doesn’t seem to be a concern for me.

doesn't matter how hard ya look if you cant coach to a players strengths, ask anyone in the portal, why they will tell you he didn't know how to use my strengths he coaches the player he wants to have not the players he does have, and 9 times out of ten it doesn't work, add in the mental abuse add in the blame game and no one wants to play for anything,

yeah you must be right, they were happy healthy and loving life, nothing to see here, nevermind the hours billed it was an amazing work and studemlnt athlete environment, top notch, don't take my word for it, knock on doors find out, don't get mad at me, and when you do knock and you do find out, help the student athlete so it doesn't happen again

Why knock on doors when we have the leading expert on everything thats happening right here.

Oldest. Player. Excuse. Ever.
Heck, I've used it, until the coach showed me my self-perceived strengths weren't.
Was him setting me straight mental abuse?

Im worried about the mental abuse Hutter went through. We’re just getting a taste of the parents he had to deal with this season

To be honest, I didn't see a whole lot of "strengths" running around on that floor this year.

There is wisdom in these words.

Every girl on the team had an opportunity to enter the portal to find a better fit.

This !@#$ has been going on for years! Mental, physical, and verbal abuse. I don't know why everybody is so surprised by the claims from multiple people on here. Every coach in the system has a tie to Brewster. The man put on a show for everyone. But behind the scenes would call players names like nigg%*s , bit*hes, and words I can't even say on here. Our new hire worked under him and I hope he left when Freije left because he had seen enough of Brewster's coaching style. If not this next year could get crazy!

In the end the truth usually doesn't come out because the athlete doesn't want to be labeled as a troublemaker and want's to either keep their scholarship or find another scholarship with a different team.

The Big Move – Dakota Student

“For our voices to be heard. I think for the people who have graduated, and the people who have quit or transferred. I think eventually we hoped somebody would finally listen to us and hear our side of it. Not just what gets put on display and what gets put on show in front of people,” Freije said.

“It is tough seeing articles supporting him. Seeing what we think is a fake positive side,” Freije said. “It is really tough because I had a lot of friends either quit or transfer to small schools. I just had to be bold and know it would work out transferring to a Division I school only with one year left and being fortunate enough to receive a scholarship.”
