cberkas
They have 22 sports. With Hockey coasting them 1.8 million (rounded up) I can see why they moved back, but I wonder how much they brought in. I saw the roster limits being an issue, but they can opt-out. New rumor is more could follow.

I wonder if this is mostly being done for financial reasons, or if it could also be because they're finding it difficult to stay competitive with the more established programs. Or both. Perhaps this will trigger a domino effect with other fringe schools. Maybe there's a Hunter Johannes type player UND could poach from their roster. Time for other schools to start circling the AIC corpse like vultures, looking for any good remains.
AlphaMikeFoxtrot
Probably the first of a few to scale back. Low caliber private colleges are struggling. Lang passed on so many opportunities to help his alma mater. No good deed goes unpunished.

AlphaMikeFoxtrot
Brad quoting Lucia in an article about keeping college hockey's enrollment window open until players turn 21 is why he's the best in the business. Forcing him to advocate for an extended runway as a commissioner when he previously wanted it shortened as a coach won't go unnoticed by college hockey fans. brianvf
Couple Thurs night games tonight... UMN beat BSU 5-3 with an ENG and outshot them 39-25. Hopefully we can dispatch BSU in a couple weeks as well... Providence beat UMass 2-1...UND is still Prov only loss this season. That bumped UND to #15 in the PWR, up one spot. A win over DU would do wonders for UND...

hockeytherapy13 Posted yesterday at 02:58 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:58 AM Robert morris, Cornell, and BU all losing tonight doesn’t help us at all. But if we can’t help ourselves I suppose it doesn’t matter much haha

Godsmack Posted yesterday at 03:45 AM Share Posted yesterday at 03:45 AM CC was out played the entire game by Western. CC went into a defensive shell in the third and paid the price for it. Mbereko can’t bail them out like this every time they play a good team. Western was the first big test for CC.

brianvf Posted yesterday at 05:54 AM Share Posted yesterday at 05:54 AM Dartmouth at 5-0 and just beat Cornell tonight. They're at #2 in PWR behind DU. UND moves down to #17...one spot ahead of a CC team that is 8-1 on the season.
