McBuckets Posted October 17 Posted October 17 BJ Omot gets 13 minutes of cardio in last night’s scrimmage against NDSU, only statistic he recorded was from 1-2 at the FT line. Important to note he has only been practicing for 2 weeks after missing almost a full year due to injury. Expect him to play a much bigger role once the season starts and he’s back in the swing of things 1 Quote

NewUndFan Posted Saturday at 03:01 AM Posted Saturday at 03:01 AM Watching Xavier tonight get stomped by Iowa. The night before they got beat bad by Santa Clara at home. Mier Panom has not even played a second tonight. I have no idea why he would transfer to a team and not play when he would have been a starter here. Other then money there is no reason. I hope he made the right decision. 2 Quote

sioux24/7 Posted yesterday at 02:03 AM Posted yesterday at 02:03 AM How much money do you think he got there? Xavier is a basketball school so I’m sure he got something and almost for sure more than anything we could or would have given him but I doubt it was life changing type money. I guess if riding the line is your thing, cool. Edit: I do see that he had a broken toe that may be part of the reason he hasn’t played much. Coming on slow. Quote

I don't know what he got from X, but the sum floated was close to $700k. My guess is the broken toe has something to do with him not playing, much like BJ Omot, injuries have hampered his progress. Hopefully BJ gets healthy soon, sounds like they have high hopes for him from what I’ve seen. Just unfortunate he got cleared a month ago and now dealing with the leg injury again Quote

I mean if that’s the case, yeah go for it. I was thinking in the $10k to maybe $40k range. NIL is nuts. But whatever, I prefer Uelmen and AS3 anyways. 2 Quote

That might be a stretch...Micah started the past game and had zero points, zero rebounds, zero assists. They have some growing to do before thinking they can move onto a bigger stage. Quote

But that said, the coaches seem very high on them, so they will get ample opportunity to figure a few things out. Here is how it plays out: 1) UND finishes 7th-9th and possibly loses a play-in game (which I think is very probable) 2) Coach doesn't get a renewed contract - UND AD takes some time to get someone causes uncertainty 3) Several guys leave due to being out of eligibility 4) Several others leave to make more $$ 5) A few leave because they are not playing 6) Everyone in their circle has told them how great they are and it's someone else to blame for the losing, they could shine elsewhere 7) They will get offered more $ than UND will be able to give them to convince them to stay. Again - this is baseless, and has no factual info in it - just my opinion and prediction. 1 Quote
UND92,96 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago The status of Sather is obviously a huge issue with regard to player retention, but I think it's a positive that the Curtises, Smith and Moore were all AAU teammates. I highly doubt Moore would have signed here if he thought those three were planning on leaving after a year. 2 Quote

Were they actually AAU teammates or did the Curtis twins and A3 play a year ahead of Moore. They all played for the same AAU organization, but I don't think they played on the same team. To my knowledge, A3 and Moore play the same position. Quote
