Wilbur Posted April 7, 2023 Share Posted April 7, 2023 The Gophers don't play a lot of teams like the Q. They played Mankato earlier this year and on the NHL sheet they struggled a bit. Someone pointed out to me before the second game that Q is a lot like Mankato, the older team that can handle the young phenoms. Two years ago, Mankato ended MN's season and it wasn't close. Then when a much better MN team drew Mankato in last year's tournament, I expected a reverse result, but again it wasn't close. I seem to recall that in the news his last few years at Minnesota. I think he got a lot of heat for it from the rest of the college hockey community.
