Smoggy Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 (edited) http://www.siouxsports.com/football.php There is a link to CWU announcers about 3 lines down on the page. It works..I'm listening in AL right now. What program are you using? I downloaded RealAudio, and it downloaded some new software to play the game, but then it ends up not being able to load it. Edit: I meant I got RealPlayer and it won't play that program. Edited September 11, 2004 by cheeringsiouxfromsmoggycali Quote
Smoggy Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Real Player.. Do you pay the $15 for your RealPlayer? Quote

Same here; there may be a user limit that has been reached. I can't connect to the CWU link either. Quote
FlorenceFan Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 http://www.cwu.edu/~cwualum/alum.ram Try that one. Real player is free, just be sure not to select any of that superpass garbage. Quote
UND Fan Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 I can not get it. Can anyone give us an update on the game? Quote
Smoggy Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 I performed a test on my internet speed. Tools/Preferences/Connection. I ended up having to change my speed. I then used the link that Florence provided (though I believe it's the same as on the fb homepage). Anyways, now it works. Quote
FlorenceFan Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 CWU just missed a field goal after intercepting a pass. The announcers aren't too good...didn't mention a score, or time left in quarter/half Quote
Smoggy Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 I started a new topic for the game updates. Quote
sprig Posted September 11, 2004 Author Posted September 11, 2004 Busy server message for me. Post updates as you have time please. Quote
star2city Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Thanks ForenceFan!! Your link worked. Score: 0-0 at end of 1st Time of possesion: CWU 9 minutes , UND 6 Quote

We apologize for this inconvenience. We have made the necessary adjustments and will be providing audio gameday internet broadcasting for the remainder of the football season, starting with the Augustana game on Saturday, Sept. 25. Smoggy Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Techanical dificulties makes it sound like faulty equipment and not that they didn't have a person to run it. There was a nice long summer to fix faulty equipment. I sure hope this wasn't a "let's see if they'll buy dataflix instead" ploy. Quote
DamStrait Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Does everything really need to be a conspiracy? Quote
Canuck Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 DamStrait...THANK YOU! A voice of reason is a lovely thing on this board. I tried to pose the same question earlier and got slammed! But then, apparently I was just seeking another argument because you and I had a difference of opinion on the netting at REA. Quote
sprig Posted September 14, 2004 Author Posted September 14, 2004 Does everything really need to be a conspiracy? A Gopher conspiracy, no doubt Quote
CoteauRinkRat Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Does everything really need to be a conspiracy? I don't think its a conspiracy I would just like to know why we aren't getting any strait answers. Go down the line and look at every small college in Nodak, I think you will find that they have free audio for their games. I would be very surprised if any school that same size as UND didn't offer it. Quote
sprig Posted September 14, 2004 Author Posted September 14, 2004 I would be very surprised if any school that same size as UND didn't offer it. Don't look now, but NDSU, this year, changed their internet audio to a "pay for" service. Of course they are D1 Quote
CoteauRinkRat Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 as you can see, I said offer the service, I didn't mean for free. If someone just wants the audio, they should at least be able to purchase that. Quote
NDSU grad Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Alot of Bison fans raised a stink about charging for the internet, but I didn't mind at all. It was horrible last year, buffering about every five minutes and reaching server capacity so you couldn't log on at all. I've only listened to the Valpo game this year but in three quarters of listening it buffered only once, so it seems like they actually did spend money in upgrading the server. I've never seen dataflix, but from reading the posts it sounds pretty worthless, is that correct? Quote
sprig Posted September 14, 2004 Author Posted September 14, 2004 I've never seen dataflix, but from reading the posts it sounds pretty worthless, is that correct? It's good when it works well. Seemed they had the bugs worked out last season and many who paid for it got good results. There have been lots of problems with it starting out this year, however. Quote
Hansel Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 I actually ordered Dataflix for the NDSU/UND basketball games last year- it wasn't like watching on TV but it only bufferred a few times and I would order it again if the oppurtunity arose. During halftime of the BB game however they piped in the UND/Wisconsin hockey game- and I thought the video quality of the BB game was much better than that of the hockey game- probably because of the setup they have in the Ralph. Now, if I can only get off the REA mailing list- they send me about 3 emails a week and there is no way to "unsubscribe" they have text which says click here to unsubscribe but it is not an operable link Quote
