Rings

Four Big Sky Champions in one year.  Three of those teams got their ring but one did not.  The football team has yet get their rings  for last year and there are no plans to get the boys one.  What's up with this. These boys get the coaches a raise and they don't even get a ring.

No. They were told   " some of the players can't afford them so no option to buy individually ".

Max NCAA will allow a school to spend on a Conference Championship ring is $315 each....$415 for a National Championship ring.

FWIW: Hawk logo was put on HPC during Spring Break for about $35K....

I know it is late but these guys deserve it! There must be some money available somewhere? I mean we could have done without new painted helmets for a year for starters. It may not be a natty but to some who are finished now it was the pinnacle of their college career.

You could pass a hat around at tailgating and/or inside the game and come up with 35K in a season.  Fans would gladly contribute for this.  Or collect half the $ and offer the rings to the players for half price if they want one.

In the student/parent purchase was offered I'm sure it would happen and if needed raise some for the kids that cannot afford them. This really needs to happen for the kids as remeberance for the season down the road and how this class has raised the standard for the team.

Do they do a 50/50 raffle at the football games? Maybe do that with funds going towards the rings, may not cover it all but could help some and people might be willing to buy more than normal to help out.

So donate to the athletic department with a specific intent for the money to buy rings?

We had to pay for the one on the left...the one on the right means a little more and was given to us.  I say just go win one of those.

You have taken good care of them and are justifiably proud to post them.

They're Nice!! It's a little late...but Congratulations!! 

Note: In the current environment there is no assurance a National Championship gets these Hawks a ring unless the FCS buys them.

So it "wasn't in the budget".  It kind of reads like the athletic department didn't think they'd ever win

Someone has to have a better plan than just an "oh well".

Is it in the budget for this year?  NO, seriously . . . is it?

Yes I agree 100% a national championship ring should be paid for by the NCAA or the university. It would be nice if conference rings could be paid for but hopefully that becomes a yearly thing for several sports.
