Ozzie82
after Saturday.Santiago has rushed for 597. 12th in the nation. All purpose 993 yds ranks 9th in the nation.Amazing. I wonder if he could play defense a few series because of injuries. just kidding. without a doubt our best recruit last year. Our best recruit from last year... so far. Lots of other promising people. But no doubt he has been absolutely outstanding.
Westside
Our best recruit from last year... so far. Lots of other promising people. Sioux94
Our best recruit from last year... so far. Lots of other promising people. But no doubt he has been absolutely outstanding. It sure is nice having a RB that can break a long one at any time. However he really needs to work on holding onto the ball, I'm sure that will improve (well I hope).
Nodak78
One bright spot for UND6th in the Nation for individual rushing!!!!!Santiago 132 rushing attempts for 754 yards.Wow a freshman I sure hope John stays healthy for the next 4 years. He sure is fun to watch.
Teeder11
Bump.My magic 8-ball says chances are good.By my arithmetic, Santiago only needs 68 yards to break 1,000 over the next 3 games.
Nodak78
Well we have a 1000+ rusher. wow. Nobody would have guessed Santiago before the season. A year ago we were complaining UND couldn't pound the rock. Then Garman had a few good games rushing. We have young RB's and a mixture of young and experience OL. I like our future.
jdub27
Credit to the OL and Coach Knauff for working hard and getting things straightened out. Credit the RB's for having great vision and seeing the holes and creases and taking what is there.

Westside
So, do we have TWO 1,000 yd rushers next year? Santiago & Oliveira? Santiago is probably a given (if he stays healthy) & looking at how Oliveira has progressed, I'd say yes.
Nodak78
two 1,000 yd rushers, I think is a great possibility next year. Especially with receivers that can keep the box from being stacked.
Sioux94
Having two 1,000 yd rushers is a tall task but certainly possible these guys both get 1,000 either next year.....or their Jr. and Sr. years. It's nice knowing we've got these guys for the next three years! Oh and thank you coach Bohl for forcing our hand in moving Santiago to RB! How many yards does Oliveira have so far this year? We should be deep at RB next year, maybe Nevermann takes some carries away from Oliveira next year though making it hard for him to get to 1,000. ClassB
From what I hear, Nevermann is the best back on the team.
