Dustin Posted September 19, 2014 Author Posted September 19, 2014 If I am hearing correctly, the radio announcer is calling us the "Champions" for a team name. Maybe he's on to something?! "Champions" win 25-21. Quote
Dustin Posted September 19, 2014 Author Posted September 19, 2014 Pacific takes set two, I believe the score was 25-17. Quote
Dustin Posted September 19, 2014 Author Posted September 19, 2014 Another UND TO - trailing 16-9 Quote

Dustin Posted September 19, 2014 Author Posted September 19, 2014 Not a very good showing - lost 25-13. Hopefully Pryor has some adjustments up his sleeve. Quote
Dustin Posted September 19, 2014 Author Posted September 19, 2014 Pacific now calls TO - UND trails 19-17 Quote
Dustin Posted September 19, 2014 Author Posted September 19, 2014 TO for match point 24-21. Need a run. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 UND needs more games against WCC and Big West California teams, as most of them are very good. It's matches like Pacific that prepare UND for an eventual entry to the top 50. Dooley and Fraase and Griffin will take UND to new heights over the next three years. Dooley hit for negative percentages, but she'll learn from games like this. Practice can not prepare you well for this level of competition. Quote

I'd rather play lower level big ten teams and good schools in the Midwest. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Moser? I'd rather play lower level big ten teams and good schools in the Midwest. Moser seems inconsistent, but has a lot of talent and potential. Kaczorowska is only a freshman and she has some tremendous games NDSU and SDSU seem to get Big Ten teams, or at least get invited to their tournaments. You have to be really good to be invited to their tournaments, or just schedule fluff like the SU's seem to be. It would be good to get one tournament with B1G and Big 12 and high MVC teams, and one tournament with WCC, Big West, and Pac12 teams. It would be nice to get Minnesota at the Betty. Quote
Dustin Posted September 20, 2014 Author Posted September 20, 2014 Based on the stats link provided by UNDsports, we swept SIU-Edwardsville 25-17, 25-17, 26-24. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Massey has UND as the fifth rated team in the Big Sky, but those five teams are tightly bunched. But our schedule is favorable we play top rated NAU only at home. NAU only just lost yesterday at NAU. The home games against Idaho, NAU, and N Colo all look to be key. We don't get Idaho St at home. http://www.masseyratings.com/team.php?t=10668&s=265415 Quote
number1UNDfan Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 UND leads country in total blocks (159.0). Senior Nikki Husfeldt is 9th in NCAA in total assists and McKenzie Hart is 16th in total digs. Freshman Faith Dooley continues to lead all of NCAA Division I in total blocks (80) and is 25th in blocks/set (1.4). Not too shabby of a start! Quote

Dustin Posted September 26, 2014 Author Posted September 26, 2014 29-27. UND trailed 24-21, before rallying, only to come up short. Quote
Teeder11 Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 UND comes back from being down 13-6 early in second set to win it 25-23. Quote
Teeder11 Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 They battled in the second set. Fontes from Grand Forks an unlikely hero in that set. Quote
Teeder11 Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 J Fontes continues her torrid play. Helps UND to a win in set 3 (25-21). UND up 2 sets to 1. Quote
