July 17th. The down-side is Target Center, but I'll take what I can get.

I've seen Styx five times since 2006...and have yet to be disappointed in their show.

MN State Fair (2 times), Target Center, St Paul's Midway Stadium, and Treasure Island.

Lets go to this concert.. I'll let you by the beer. :)

I'm in if you are.

Yep...But actually, I would recommend Moon Dance in Walker the next night instead.

How did this fall so far down the rung....

Looking back at all the bands that have played Moon Dance the only ones I would want to see I already have seen them. The difference is I saw them in their prime. Would I go and see the Eagles today? No. Saw them in 78 and 80 on the Hotel California and Long Run Tours. Would I go see Dave Matthews again, saw him do 2 shows in September in California, without a doubt. Would I go see Springsteen again after 3 times already? In a second I would. He actually keeps getting better all the time. How can you not want to see someone that is enjoying himself performing like this..
He does this at every show. Plays requests even.

I don't know if I have ever been in more agreement with you. I hate Nirvana about 1 million times more than I hate the Boston Bruins. Take three high school kids, buy them instruments and give them four months worth of lessons, then put them out in the garage and you would have the next Nirvana. They sounded like they literally needed to practice just the basic fundamentals of playing their instruments. Absolute piece of garbage band that for some bizarre reason the critics inexplicably loved. Then again, the critics tend to not get it at least 90% of the time. Most great bands are hated by the critics and most bands that the critics love are mediocre at best.

The fact that you hate Boston and Nirvana makes me love them even more. :)

Now Dave Nirvana is a great band, true rock - not like most bands, just one guy on keyboards with talent & the idea of the grundge was that it was basic garage band rock but like many great artists was definitely influenced by drugs mainly heroin - they brought rock to a new place when it was losing out to hip hop & cRap

I said it once and I'll say it again...

"They sounded like they literally needed to practice just the basic fundamentals of playing their instruments."

So, I didn't know you were a music critic. :)

Totally off topic but what was NYY pitcher Pineda thinking with all that pine tar on this neck the other night?? I get he has a great "tan" but fans in the upper deck could see it. That's about as discrete as gfhockey going to a work drug/toxicology unine screening carring a gallon of "Mott's Apple Juice"...or MM going to his last porn shoot pushing a wheelbarrow full of Cialis pills and jars of K-Y. Good grief!!! What's wrong with some people!

Of course Nelson is not a 1980's hair band, their debut album was released in 1990. Same goes for Slaughter.

1980's hair band should probably have an asterisk next to it when I use the term. I typically start with about 1981 and go thru 1992 or 1993 when discussing the beginning and end of "hair bands."

I have seen Warrant back in the day...wasn't impressed.

What?!?!?!? Saw them at an outdoor concert in Fargo with, Trixter, I think? We played Nerf football with the band and some roadies out in the parking lot before their concert. #goodoleboysclub-hairbandversion
