“We had a talk after the season in preparation for spring workouts and said that what we did wasn’t good enough,” Idalski said. “We always want to be playing for championships. That’s the next step for us. We have to win the league championship. We need to win the playoff championship. We need to be in the Frozen Four. Those are the things on the table for us now.”

Congratulations to a thrilling, never-to-be-forgotten season for the Sioux ladies. It took the Gophers the equivalent of nearly two full games (all but about a minute and a little change) to finally edge the Sioux 3-2. What an unforgettable season. Congrats to the Gopher ladies as well for winning the national championship.
