GO_FIGHTING_SIOUX_GO Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 I was just wondering if any of the other years had nicknames for their lines? example the DOT line: of Duncan, Oshie and Toews and the Pony Express: Trupp, Frattin and Malone. Thanks Quote
MissSioux85 Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 The only other line names I can think of are the 'Hrkac Circus' and the 'Line of Fire' (Zach Parise, Brandon Bochenski, Brady Murray) Quote
dagies Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Back in '05? I think it was, the line with Massen, Canady and Fabian? was called the Red Pepper line (unofficially around here, anyway). Because they were good grinders. Quote
mikejm Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 ... the 'Line of Fire' (Zach Parise, Brandon Bochenski, Brady Murray) I don't recall this one ever developing any legs. Quote
GeauxSioux Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 "BC Connection" from the late 70's. Was it Kevin Maxwell, Cary Eades and Mark Taylor?? There was also the "Zap Line" with Rick Zaparnuik (sp?) at center. Quote
siouxweet Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 wasn't there one called the money line? Quote

MissSioux85 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Wasn't this the name of the line for Panzer, Lundbohm and Bayda? back in 2001? My memory failed me. As someone said, the 'Money Line' was Parise, Bochenski and Murray so it's quite possible the 'Line of Fire' was Panzer, Lundbohm and Bayda. Quote
redwing77 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 DOT line? Duncan Oshie Toews? Though this nickname, I'm fairly sure, started on SS.com and stayed on SS.com... Quote
Big A HG Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 DOT line? Duncan Oshie Toews? Though this nickname, I'm fairly sure, started on SS.com and stayed on SS.com... The DOT Line nickname spread nationally and was even used during the airing of the Regional and Frozen Four that year. Quote

Siouxmama Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 More importantly...I think the Wooger used it during a Sioux/Gophs game! Yes he did. I remember him using that line. Quote
