AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted Wednesday at 06:27 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:27 PM ASU, OSU, Maine, QU listed of the 12 (!) offers he received. Have to assume if MN, WI, ND, UM and MSU were among them they'd be mentioned. Quote
brianvf Posted Wednesday at 06:28 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:28 PM https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/penticton-vees-forward-boomer-demars-commits-to-und Quote DeMars had offers from 12 NCAA programs, including Arizona State, Ohio State, Maine and Quinnipiac. He made a recruiting visit to Arizona State and had planned one to Ohio State, but canceled that after visiting UND. "I knew I was meant to play at North Dakota ever since I stepped foot in that arena," he said. "I could feel it. "I loved the campus. The Ralph is something different. In my opinion, it's the best place to play college hockey in the entire country. Stepping into that building blew me away. It's a less-populated campus and it has a tighter feel, which I absolutely loved." 2 Quote
nodakgirl93 Posted Wednesday at 06:29 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:29 PM Remember you still need those 3-4 year guys. Sounds like he may be one of those? 4 Quote

If things go extremely well for him, he's a 2-3 year guy, and everyone will take that if he's an outstanding NCAA player earlier on. But likely a 3-4 year guy, we'll see how he does in junior this year in Penticton. 1 Quote
beastandco Posted Wednesday at 06:50 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:50 PM DeMars just turned 16. We likely won’t see him for 3 years unless he has a breakout year. He could’ve been in next year’s cycle. 1 Quote
dagies Posted Wednesday at 07:08 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:08 PM Gotta love that first name for a power forward..... 4 Quote

Besides the full blown blue chips, they’re taking bigger two way guys that can skate. I have never thought of Boomer as the very best in the 09 MN crop but he’s always in that tier and he’s been on some really good teams. Also a captain at LI speaks to that side of things. Go let him play two years in the Dub and let’s see how things shake out. 4 Quote
