brianvf
http://www.grandforksherald.com/event/article/id/113097 We should start scheduling more cupcake teams again, as that seems to be the easy way to make the NCAA tourney now. Canisius anyone?

UND85
What's the reason for a Tuesday/Wednesday date in Feb. at CC ?
The Sicatoka
What's the reason for a Tuesday/Wednesday date in Feb. at CC ? It has to be a mistake because: a) no way in <bleep> would Hak have them play four games in six days, and b) the CC schedule shows it as Feb 26/27 (Fri/Sat). I thought the same thing. Must be a misprint but just wanted to check. It's great to see the schedule officially out. I wish the games played over the Christmas break would have been a Fri/Sat. instead of Sat./Sun. I would have been able to go to Chicago if the game wasn't on Sunday. WiSioux
Just a question... who does the Olympic Men's team play for "warmups"? I read that the UND Women's team will be playing the Women's Olympic team... does the means team also travel the country and play college teams or is it because there are fewer women teams to pick from? The Women's Olympic team will be picked in a camp and then stay together as a group and play games until the Olympics next winter. I think I heard that they would be headquartered in the Twin Cities. That's the way Men's Olympic team was selected and operated in 1980 when they won the gold. The key is that they are using amateur players. The 1980 Men's team was made up mainly of college players. The current Men's team will be selected after a camp, but they will probably all be current NHL players. The Olympics will be held during a break in the NHL season. My guess is that the Men's Olympic team will play a couple of quick exhibition games against other Olympic teams and then play out the Olympics.
