Commodore with the secondary assist on the first Columbus goal tonight.

Congrats to Greene on the 5 year extension. probably way more than he should have got, but its ok.

I have to say, and many Devils fans agree with me, that Travis Zajac is much improved this season. I thoroughly enjoyed just watching him pick Ovechkin's pocket. He's also got a faceoff percentage of 56% so far.

Oh and, Zach with a goal as well.

And the only shootout goal, to give NJ the shootout win

Sorry, but I'm not sad on this one.

The Devs are my second favorite NHL team behind Detroit. Chicago is a close third.

But I'll root for Washington before I'll root for the Rangers (sorry PCM if you still lurk) or Pittsburgh (this one confuses me. I don't know why I don't like Pittsburgh.).

Pretty nice game for the former sioux in the St. Louis vs. Chicago. All 3 had a point (Porter G, Oshie A, Toews A). Both Toews and Oshie made their SO attempts, Oshie's being the GW.

Final stats from tonight....

David Hale: 0g, 0a, -2, 2 hits, 30 shifts, 16:42 TOI (0:00 PP, 1:53 PK)

Brian Lee: 0g, 1a, +1, 1 blocked shot, 16 shifts, 12:47 TOI (1:37 PP, 0:00 PK)

Jason Blake: 0g, 1a, E, 5 SOG, 19 shifts, 16:41 TOI (5:45 PP, 1:01 PK)

Travis Zajac: 0g, 0a, +1, 3 SOG, 2 takeaways, 29 shifts, 19:27 TOI (1:21 PP, 5:11 PK)

Zac Parise: 1g, 1a, +1, 4 SOG, 19 shifts, 19:59 TOI (5:03 PP, 0:17 PK), game's 1st star

Drew Stafford: 0g, 0a, -1, 2 SOG, 1 blocked shot, 18 shifts, 13:48 TOI (0:21 PP, 0:00 PK)

TJ Oshie: 0g, 1a, +2, 4 hits (led both teams), 6 takeaways (led both teams), 25 shifts, 19:19 TOI (1:57 PP, 1:52 PK), game's 1st star

Chris Porter: 1g, 0a, E, 2 SOG, 1 hit, 16 shifts, 11:18 TOI (0:00 PP, 1:30 PK)

Just got done reading it. It was good. Nice to know that the once a Sioux always a Sioux bond is staying stong with them.... And Toews is deserving to pick up the bill. lol. After all, he's probably the richest.

true dat...I think Johnny will be in line for a big contract after his rookie deal expires after next year.

Great summary. I'd just add that Sioux alumni were 4-4 on shootout attempts last night.

Stafford made his.

Parise made his, the eventual game winner.

and, as you noted Toews and Oshie.

A great article on Oshie, Toews & Porter:

read this last night, then saw you posted it....awesome article.

Thanks. I dont know how I missed that, but good catch! Blake missed his shootout attempt vs. NYR the other night, which allowed NYR to win the game.
