This game is won in the trenches. We have a lot of skill and speed on offense. But the O-line is a question mark. We need to win some recruiting wars regarding the o-line. They need to keep going after long tall corners. And continue to add competition up the middle at LB. I like where the d-line is. Recruiting war wise, we are at best the 3rd dog at the bowl. NDSU and SDSU are beating us. We need to win some battles.

I'm no expert on lineman so I defer to your expertise. The rumblings I heard was he was solid and wasn't playing motivated football and the benching was a wake up call. Seems now there is no waking up what was ailing that kid. Too bad.

The offense should be alright. Two more years with this crop of RB/WR. If Cloyd continues to develop plus the guy from Montana next year is as good as advertised we could be set at TE. It's the O/Line that is where UND has to improve. We could use an FCS drop down or two. I don't see Taylor coming back. When healthy he was arguably our best lineman. We have three Junior QB's. Plus it sounds like our freshman QB looks pretty impressive so we should be good.

Very entertaining game. Look this year may not be what we wanted but for a ton of the game, there were anywhere from 7 to 10 players on defense that were sophomores or younger. And they were balling out. This game actually reinvigorated me. Not for this year, but for the future.

I did not have a program but noticed a #93 at fullback today in the second half.. Who was that? Ray Hass is a beast. Was nice to see Izzy get some touches. Concerning about the MLB position. Good win today.

I think trying to make things better is good. I think helping out the programs we love is good. I think enhancing player safety as a program priority will only help us. But the program needs more to be elite. Walk around memorial stadium and especially in the corners where they hope fans and recruits don't notice, look at the shape of the infrastructure. The shape of the track, the equipment. I still don't know if the HPC is done yet. If it's not, that needs to be funded as well. Keep on this topic. It needs to remain relevant.

Anyone know anything about the new recruit out of Co? Projected position? Back ground?

Everyone is so quick to elevate Zimmerman. We don't know what we have in the other 2 yet. Heidlebaugh is an athletic beast that may just need some real live fire time to get the confidence he needs. He could play in a lot of different positions but they are keeping him at QB. Staff must see something. Will be an interesting Spring game. I hope any of those 3 young guys seizes the #2 spot and is ready to roll.

Today really really sucks! We lost a senior captain in football, 3 entire sports, and Jost in a day, today is not so fun!!

Any ideas how close the staff is to rounding out this year's class? Should we expect any surprises?

Boeser appears to be at about 50% right right now. I think he's beat up? Not skating well and not generating much. Shot doesn't look right. Hope he can heal up and soon!

Didn't hurt to get some of the AFB talent as well. Not as much of that right now!

Any post holiday announcements we can anticipate. Any other Juco or FBS drop downs coming our way that has not been announced?

Have to wonder if they think about moving Heidlebaugh? A freak of an athlete. Or this was insurance because they don't know what they have. Is it August yet???

Agree with the optimism. This was the 1st FCS playoff game for Bubba as a head coach. Just like the team, he also is still learning and getting better each year as is the staff and the team. Football is getting relevant for the 1st time in a very long time. I was at the hockey game last night at MSG and in our section between plays and periods, everyone was on their phones following football. Was pretty cool! Everyone is disappointed and no more than the the team. We keep taking steps. I for one am excited for what is coming next year!

No Brock again tonight! Rather have him for the long haul but that sucks.
