Man I need to be a lawyer. Lawyers alway get paid whether they do a good job or bad. I would be fired if my recommendations failed in a fiery wreck. Obviously nothing is a 100% guarantee but I guess some professions do not have the fortitude to stand behind their work. “insert lawyer joke here”

So in the UND contract is that firm liable for defending any lawsuits that come out of their recommendation to the university??? I seriously wonder if anyone ever reads the contract before signing…..

Travis looking good in his third preseason game with the Seahawks. His only attempt so far was in the end zone and should have drawn a pass interference call. Sure wish the QB would have thrown it back shoulder and Travis would have caught it in a better position. sounds like there is a ton of competition for 6 WR spots but hopefully he has shown he can compete at the highest level. I think he has earned a practice squad position and maybe be called up later in the season. Regardless of what happens how cool is it that he never gave up and got to fulfill his dream even if it ends at the end of the season. Just cool hearing the announcers trying to say his name!

Kennedy did the right thing for the university. Cuts to academics should always come after all available cuts to athletics. Academics should be the focus and priority

He’s more outraged that the don’t have many 3 star prospects and kids with FBS offers. his excuse for our Moorhead recruits is that Moorhead is soft and that they are not tough so I guess they will have to show the Bison what soft is!

Honestly I have felt the same way about UND hockey and their success. None of the individual games during the season mean much when all the fans are expecting a playoff run to a championship. Anything less than a national championship is not considered a success. It’s a plague of UND hockey and NDSU football. This comes as interest in UND football is at an all time high for the D1 era.

Good thing they won’t win every game this season……… might bring some interest back!

Chicken is way better and it’s not even close, boneless and bone in! I actually think their sauces are better too because they are not as salty. Still hard to ever beat the Cay though, but no kids allowed there. I would KILL to have one in WY!

They may favor to watch men’s ice hockey in ND, but hockey is still not as popular as many other sports in the state. Hockey is a niche sport that only rich communities play in ND…… look at all the HS programs in small towns that have folded

Hopefully the district court just rules there was no violation. What a waste of time and money for UND. So what if this case wins against UND? Does that mean we have to add men’s volleyball and women’s football? How about men’s baseball? Where does it end? Athletics is such a waste of money …….:

Does Brock need to be only a gadget player guy or can we just use him as a straight up WR? I think he can be used as both. WR’s are deep, maybe our deep threat can emerge?

Better question is why haven’t we reached out already??? Good punting can put games away and can flip the field for the offense. We need to do better this year at kicking.

I think the o line will be fine after listening to the podcast. K and P could always get better, how do we get an all American punter?

Sounds like Tyron Vrede made the final roster on the Ottawa Redbacks in the CFL. Pretty cool to see him get his chance! Also with Winnipeg starting RB out with injury we could see Brady Olivera get a bunch of carries in their season opener.

He has some pretty good offers so far including FBS Northern Illinois but he still decided to come visit UND! Looks like the Bison have shown interest in him in the past.

You keep skipping over the problem of all the other sports teams at NDSU!!!! That’s where the main financial burden is to move all sports to the MWC!!!!! NDSU football could financially make it at the FBS level but can they finance the rest of the athletic department????? It would be very difficult!!!! Way more than 2 million a year that you are complaining about.

I don’t think playing in the MWC for football would be underwhelming at all. It would be a step up from the MVFC with the addition of 0-2 P5 games per year. Maybe an FBS football only league could be created that could leave the rest of the sports in the Summit……????

Moving up to FBS isn’t just about football, and I don’t think any smart people are arguing that nDSU football couldn’t move to a G5 conference and not be successful. These conferences are not recruiting schools to join solely on how good their football program is. If so they should kick many of their schools out, but why don’t they????? It’s more than just football. So what are these big $$$$$ media deals that nDSU is going to bring to the MW? So if UND was so financially weakened by moving to the Big Sky how would that be any different than nDSU moving to the Mountain West????? The travel cost for football would be well worth it but what about the rest of the sports…… sorry you have to add more women’s sports and not drop more of them………
