The Gopher D did nothing to deserve that turn over . 100% jack giveaway
-
Can the Jacks drive down the field and score with seconds left and then go for two and the win?
-
Jacks got a call their way on a very questionable blind side block. Punt jacks ball
-
Well I’ll shut up now. How embarrassing for the Gophers even if they win this game. SDSU looks solid, I wonder if they are the team to beat in the valley this year?
-
As hilarious as that would be I don’t see that happening this year. PJ has been revamping the Gophers so falling to an FCS team doesn’t seem as easy.
-
We should be pretty healthy being it is only week 2 so that will help. Our DL just needs to step up and we should be fine. The rest of our defense is pretty solid.
-
Dom doesn’t even think our game will be a tough game for the mighty Bison. Yes UND stumbled late last year, but that team could have put up a good fight against anyone. The team this year has many returners so there is no reason we would have a down year. Let Dom and rest of the blind faithful overlook UND because it may be even more bitter sweet. Worst case scenario for this year is 6-5, there is no way this team drops below 6 wins.
-
Absolutely no way UND wins by no less than 3 scores. 28 point spread is what I foresee. If not Bubba should be terminated on the spot. I not a betting man but there is some stupid money being put down.

I’m trying to move on so like many of you are harassing us to do. The hawks New Era 3930 hats I own are probably the most comfortable hats I own. Did I know random strangers would react this way to my hat? You think I should love this logo and have pride in it after my first hand experiences? The logo is a joke
-
You joking me? Multiple strangers have approached me personally asking me about the eagles. It was the worst traveling the Monday after they won the super bowl. So yeah it is happening and that’s how forgettable our new logo is.....
-
Exactly why we need an unique logo........
-
Love the Bennett hawk logo. We should have hired him to do the new logo. I don’t think the NCAA would have had any problem with it. I also have no problem with him selling HIS logo and it’s our fault if our fans end up liking his logo better than ours. But unfortunately we are stuck with the absolute worst hawk logo in the sports world. Thanks Ed Schafer........ what a joke for what could have been........... im tired of traveling across the country wearing the F hawks logo and people mistaking it for the Philadelphia eagles.....

Danny is molding this offense to take advantage of our strengths. I feel like if you set Kett up right he will excel. He can also make deep throws if needed so I feel pretty optimistic about this season. If Danny coaches anywhere near as good as he played we will have a good one with him at coordinator. Unfortunately we will all be left wondering what could have been if we would have sent Rudolph packing long ago.
-
The student tailgate will be packed because it was huge last year too. Probably can’t drink at the concert put on by the university.....
-
Unless Drake is able to run for 300+ yards our defense is going to have a field day with their offense. I predict 3 picks at a minimum with our ball hawks in the secondary. It will be a long day for Drake.
-
We ran just fine with JJ when Olivera and Santiago were injured. We might not have the depth for this top talent but we may be surprised when these running backs get some reps
-
I think honestly the only way they will dominate the game is if they can run it down our throats. I think the secondary will be able to contain this QB, but if they can run easily it may open some pass plays. This is the best chance we have had to take down the mighty AC.

The article says the reasons that the smaller plants are competing with world scale plants is because all of their product is contracted and none is sold on the open market. If those were built here they would need to find a cooperative that would sign up for contracted volumes. Not sure if CHS would sign on to this when they are partners with CF industries. The plant in Rock Springs was built by Simplot so they could produce their own ammonia without having to buy it on the open market. Not saying new fertilizer plants are impossible but have a ton of hurdles to conquer. We are are though more likely to see a new fertilizer plant than we are to see a petrochemical plant.
-
You are right but using the gas locally is not a necessity like many have been preaching. It would obviously be nice to produce products here locally but there are many factors that need to be overcome.
-
Yes obviously I’m just saying that there are already supplies coming into the region. New supplies will have to compete with the existing sources. That is why we have not seen and other plants actually being built.
-
Ammonia is the big one in the state and way more is used than urea. The plant produced half of the states fertilizer needs.
-
Companies are always looking to do more business. In this case nothing has even been proposed so we are a long ways away from this becoming reality. It’s just a pipe dream right now. We should be focusing on new pipelines and gas plants to take care of the problem.
-
Then why didn’t they finish the Spiritwood plant or the one planned for grand forks? If this was a slam dunk then they would have been completed and running. The reason is the demand is already being met by other sources such as the plant in Sioux City IA and imports by CF industries. A new plant would have to push them out of the region by being able to produce and sell it at a lower price. This would require the plant to be built at a world scale in order to compete and that may be too big for the region.
-
Many interesting pieces in that article. It says that ND is in competition with 4-5 other locations to get a new petrochemical plant and like Wardner said they all have cheap gas. I assume the locations are near all of the big plays in the US and along the gulf coast. Biggest downside for ND is our location which will increase product transportation costs. It is cheaper to ship the feed stock streams via pipeline that it is to ship the final product out on rail. I also don’t know why they are talking about fertilizer plants. We already tried to build multiple plants in the state and only 1 got built with 1 cancelled and 1 still stalled. The demand for more fertilizer is not enough to build another plant in the state. Flaring is also a problem because a lack of gathering pipelines and available capacity at the gas plants. Once those assets catch up the existing NGL and natural gas pipelines can handle the increased flow. We don’t need to separate and use the ethane locally in order for the industry to grow. It would be nice to use the gas locally but isn’t a do or die. It is a big falsehood the Governor, lutenient governor and the legislative leadership are pushing.
