Student attendance is not as bad as a problem as you think it is. Is it great? No. But it's not horrible. The student section its self doesnt fill up except for those days. But, with the Betty, the ushers let us sit in the rest of the arena, as long as we arent taking the spot of a ticket holder when they show up. And we like the regular seats more than the temp bleachers (Spoiled by the Ralph? Maybe.) so we are just spread out.

Bet we (students) get an email from Kelley talking about how disappointed he is int he student body (much like the siouxper drunk thing last year) or an REA one threatening any future activity like that with a possible ban/removal of ticket rights.

Because right now, USA and Canada are leaps and bounds more athletic, skilled, and physically stronger than the other countries. They aren't going to allow it until it is a more even playing field.

No, thats the only time the "student section" fills up. I've noticed that a lot of students that go, go up into the stands to sit in the nicer seats that are left open. Granted,it's not like we turn out in droves for basketball games, but we're usually just spread out.

Heads up, I'm also a huge Air Force fan, and at one point I fired off a respectable email to the AHA office in regards to officiating. I did in fact get a response from the commissioner, but it was the typical "sight lines" and "we stand by our officials" response. I was completely surprised by that though.

Sounds like our game wasn't the only poor spot for NCHC officiating tonight.

Wow, Moore needs to get supplemental handed down by the NCHC.

I have a feeling that he might not predict it correctly this year. He's done a few things that don't make the biggest sense, in names of attendance.

I actually like that idea. What conferences do that currently? Like that one too. It's nice to know who the officials are, but like you said, I think it's only to avoid heckling.

Anyone know where to get one of the geometric logo jerseys from the late 90's? Doesn't have to be game worn or anything, I just cant find them anywhere.

Ohh trust me, we do. Usually its only a handful of students, but they come with notes. Also, we occasionally heckle them during warmups. In fact, a CC player spit on the glass at a heckler so this past weekend.

Nah, it was Chipman. You can tell because in the picture of sharing the sandwich, you can see goalie gear at the bottom of the picture. If it's on the bench, its usually either Chipman or Shaw, and off either Karvinen or Tupa. That being said, is there no NCAA regulations as to stuff like this?

If they play well enough, they might be able to sneak into the playoffs without having to win the WCHA tournament. It'll be incredibly hard, but theyre 4 spots out, with a series against Duluth and Minny left. If they can somehow pull out 3 wins, or 2 and a tie they have a good shot, but it'll be incredibly difficult. They are getting hot here. Hope they can keep it up.

Pioske's replacement?

Scouting report time: While home on winter break, I went to the Niagara @ Air Force game on Friday night. I noticed that Niagara played very very dirty A defensman jumped an AF player that scored, pushed heads of players laying on the ice into it, had a game disqualification etc.... I don't know if that means they will play dirty against a better and bigger team than Air Force, but it's something to watch out for. As to how they look otherwise, they had a lot of defensive zone turnovers. They won a lot of their faceoffs in the defensive zone, but couldn't seem to win them elsewhere. If their goalie comes out to play the puck, watch for some miscues. He had a couple, and is no stranger to them elsewhere. They were also very aggressive on the PK and forced Air Force to rush some things, leading to mistakes and then breakaways.

I swear they sell their souls to the devil. Their ability to pull out wins is reminiscent to Nebraska of the past few years. How did Illinois St. make it to the championship game? Their D seemed like it had no clue what to do for most of the game.

What am I missing here?

I think it's bit stupid that the basketball team is against it. They provide many top programs with their equipment. However, I do have a friend who is on the cross country team and dislikes Adidas as a runner. He thinks the shoe's that Adidas makes do not compare to the shoes Nike or companies like Asics or Brooks make.

When did Rau become a two sport player?

He looks like he really hustles every time he is on the ice. Looked pretty solid defensively and on faceoffs. Had a nice goal set up by Schmaltz. Honestly there's been some really nice passes from Schmaltz to Matthews so it looks like there is a bit of chemistry between the two. I just hope that's not wishful thinking.

Why, so they can be booed? Refs should not play favorites for who's home just because they are afraid of getting ridiculed. It's gonna happen anyways.
