Wentz should worry about not hurting himself......don't fight with a defensive lineman, WWE style, when more defenders are coming!! That's how he got hurt. It wasn't from an ankle tackle. For UND, a tackle is a tackle.

We will likely 'spy' on 3rd and mediums and other times near the red zone. They like to run Wentz when they need a 1st down or touchdown, no surprises there.

How about fundamentals? On Santiago's first fumble and other runs the ball was in the wrong arm. Studsrud had a non forced fumble with the QB/center exchange, had the ball on the ground twice more, and panicked once near his own end zone and luckily it was ruled a forward pass. Can we just catch on ball on defense this year? That would help. Even some tackling was sloppy. DBs need to know when the QB is likely to float a 50/50 ball. O line needs to see the wizard, looking for their heart. Need to clean this crap up. We will see how good our coaching staff is this week.

UND players were bad, too, on offense, didn't miss that part of it-

Sometimes coaches get in the way of things, like NDSU not running the ball more against Montana, especially on their last series. Or, like UND not doing some things they could of been doing because of the current opponent, and this week's opponent, SU. Coaching staffs always are doing what they think is best for their team. But, I think in both of these instances coaches were wrong.

did you watch? Because at one point it was 21-0 and we fumbled through the goal line negating another 7. We hit the cruise control a little too early, vanilla downed the offense, and played a lot of guys on D. We let off too soon and things got slippery. UND showed a little youth yesterday. No doubt we have to play a lot better to compete with SU.

Does anyone think the playbook and scheme offensively was limited and a little boring for a reason? I will answer this, "yes" it was. The issue I have is our base stuff should have been enough to put Drake away, but it wasn't. Overall, we were sloppy and it was getting painful to watch. UND has a lot to prove next week, not much to lose. I expect a different looking team. At RB, Arrignton was least impressive, he doesn't seem to have what it takes. We will miss Clive at WR, no doubt.

Based on the games and performances by both teams thus far, UND could, and maybe even should play NDSU tough. So if we get blown out 1) We didn't play well or 2) NDSU is that much better than us and it would probably be some combination of both. I'd be more disappointed if we got smoked because of mistakes and stupid turnovers as compared to playing a more talented team.

With Clive down we need someone that can go deep, after Drake the talent level is high every week. So Smith at WR and even Santiago in the slot with a few routes up the seam is needed. To me we'll need the shirts pulled on Smith and Oliveira to help get a game changer out at WR. Plus, we haven't shown to be real durable. (Smith, Arriginton, Oliveira dinged this year) (Norberg missed half the season last year) I am buying a program for sure to keep track. I am expecting a lighter load for Santiago because we'll want him crisp for NDSU. Carries will be pretty spread out, but 300 yards on the ground.

The video shows 2 other runs by Santiago that were really good. (besides the 2 touchdowns) Good to see Grant Asplin pushing some guys around from the backfield..........big boy with good feet.

Klieman said on the news MJ and DeLuca, 2 LB's played all 92 plays. Is NDSU that thin at LB? I know it's hard to substitute once the Griz start a drive but why not start a series with a #2? What this says is they don't trust the #2's, not in that game anyway.

Clive being out hurts because he can stretch the field. We need to replace that that element or teams start packing the box and safeties get a little too comfortable coming up hard on run.
