  1. Arnell specifically and the safety position as a whole. We are better and deeper at safety.
  2. Would anyone take staying North Dakota, but in doing so take the state number. So North Dakota 39'ers. I like it -
  3. Except Nodaks is a derogatory term Minnesotans use when they invade the lakes areas.....It's usually f'n Nodaks don't know how to.....drive, launch a boat, not fish 3 feet from me, say 10 pointer, etc.
  4. Good post. This QB thing could go 6 different directions this year. We need all 3 committed and ready to go.
  5. I thought when Cindy got the ax Bubba would hire a WR coach and Freund would be the QB coach.........I was dead wrong.
  6. It is horsesh*t we can't watch the game on TV - Anyone else pissed about this??
  7. My guess is Georges will lead the team in reception yards. (just a hunch) Seibel might have more catches. Adler will have a big year, too.
  8. I swear to God, my wife watches it. (Teen Mom)

Let's not get hypersensitive here. I took it as a little tongue in cheek but based off current dogma. Not a big deal. I chuckled about it. I hope the kid has a smoking year and follows thru with his commitment.
  10. Someone in Fargo, this person has a lot to do with FM baseball, told me this would happen as it has been their history growing up. His exact words were they are quitters. I stood up for the kids making the case based on their passion for football and they are now young men, more mature..........please pass the crow.
  11. It looks like the actual jerseys we are seeing now are darker.....and appear to match the helmets. Maybe just a lighting thing, but in my opinion they tweaked the color, made it darker. Joe looks good-
  12. I swear they toned down the green from the mock-up. The design is part of the 'shock-web' design, which is suppose to be top of the line. Any thoughts on the alternate uniform next year? I think the black-out is a little stale so I'm for a throw-back look. How about kicking in for alternate helmets? (maybe purchase a helmet and get it after the team is done with them) I would do $500 for an alternate helmet.
  13. I was thinking Santiago looked good on film, even in High School his skills looked to translate well to college. Same with Smith and Oliviera. That said, I am guessing our staff recognized this too and another transfer at RB became less and less important, especially as these guys arrived early for work-outs. Heck, outside of RB's picking up a blitz now and then, it's a pretty simple position to learn. (not to diminish how fricken talented you have to be to perform) Why not give the young guys a shot to hit the ground running. I am glad to hear Norberg is running tough and hope to see something positive out of Arrington too because it will afford us the luxury of working Smith and Santiago in the slot.
  14. Good - I want to see that game. Thanks
  15. I saw a Big 10 Preview. Their rules committee said no FCS schools starting in 2016. Does this affect the SU vs. Iowa game or is that game grandfathered in? Sorry if I missed it.
  16. I will do the running back analysis. "? ??" That should do it.
  17. Just talking football. Hammer has good football knowledge, he follows the game outside of UND.
  18. Hammer is a good guy and calls a good game. He has more football knowledge than Sweeny. Don't hate on the Hammer.
  19. Ultimately, the measurement is in wins/losses, in the classroom, and in the character of your players. Before you get the wins you have to have the players by establishing yourself with high school coaches and hosting camps. The area high school coaches I know tell me UND has reestablished their presence and camp numbers were way up this year. The camps are the biggest recruiting tool and Bubba and Co. will tell you.......they don't care about stars and other offers. From the inside, things are vastly improved at UND and this fall will be a key measurement. I am not expecting miracles, just hoping for them, but the improvement at UND should show on the field this fall. With the new corner from Miss St., our starting 4 in the secondary will be good, and the 3rd and long was a problem last year. Anyway, good to see 5 early commits I think the number is now. And, a certain RB may be back with the program........
  20. Disterhaupt- eye of the tiger, it's an intangible he plays with. Nothing wrong with 3 starting outside backers to keep guys fresh.
  21. He was very complimentary of the current UND staff. Emphasized the home field advantage in the playoffs as the goal. I try not to like the guy, yet he's pretty likable when you talk to him.
  22. To answer this.....only if we get a bad case of the injury bug. Schmitty has him slated for OLB.
  23. I think he is a 4.5 guy out of high school. He could easily be a 4.4 guy coming into camp or a year into the program. I liked his size and instincts at RB in Minnesota's highest level. I think your statement is a little bearish on the kid. I've heard he is a great kid and is working his @ss off......if you want to believe his high school coach.
  24. If we lost 50% of our entire recruiting class that would be catastrophic. So I don't think 50% is a decent success rate. I think it's a hotbed too, and I'm sure the coaches are aware of, and more so now of 1) other football options the Canadian kids have 2) eligibility requirements going forward Canada to US
