another sign things are headed the right direction -

Drivable still from WA, makes sense. It would be tough to fly over Griz and Bobcats to land in GF, no lie.
-
$1.2 million I was told, going to guess Miami. Could be other offers.
-
How good are your sources on those amounts? I have some knowledge of NDSU paying $500,000 to keep their WR but I haven't verified that yet.
-
Where are the DII and lower players with 6 figure offers? The reality and most relevant to UND is the FCS landscape is a developmental league and programs in FBS have funds to compensate. If you like being gutted without compensation that's your opinion and we just differ. I'd rather get something in return when K-State gives a UND kid $150,000.
-
Not sure that's where the system is falling apart.........we certainly didn't pay any lower level players other than a scholarship if that.
-
1. The FCS needs to come together and demand compensation for finding and developing players. Players will still leave, but at least the FCS program(s) will receive some benefit, $$ for the transaction. 2. What will/is also happening is say Alabama wants a kid, but doesn't have a roster spot, an FCS and FBS program will essentially partner in placing a kid at FCS knowing that Alabama has a high interest the following year. Unfortunately, we don't have a lot of close proximity options in this area to "partner" with but maybe the location of the 2 schools isn't that important. It would be advantageous for an FCS school to just embrace this right away and have FBS schools place some 1 year Blue Chippers on their roster(s). UND could be doing this right now.

5 DTs probably needs to be 7 with 5 at 300 lbs and higher. The defense reads like the roster in Major League, Who are these......? The D rebuild I'm afraid could be a 2 year process. Hope to finish middle of the road next season and then be in top 3 in League the following season. Also, could be looking for a RB in the portal unless some of the WRs can provide for a Slash type option to take a few carries. We have Z, Seidl (who missed games with injury), then 2 Freshman. It's thin at RB.

Disgusting Question, Great Answer - Speaking on the field after the game, McGrath told Freeman: 'You are the first Black head coach to go to a National Championship game in college football. Just hearing that response alone, how much does this mean to you?' In response, Freeman quickly shut down that line of questioning and said: 'I've said this before, I don't ever want to take attention away from the team. 'It is an honor and I hope all coaches - minorities, Black, Asian, White, it doesn't matter, great people - continue to get opportunities to lead young men like this.

Prolly, like 1000% sure, need some LB funds/spots to free up in or shortly after Spring Ball then find/sign a few more anchors in the middle before fall. I don't think we can effectively stop the run with current makeup of roster.
-
Poor guy. Every time I watch Iowa on offense it takes me back 30 years.
-
Excited enough to go to games again in GF, maybe catch a road game.
-
1 rush for 2 yards......so many guys get buried in big programs. I would like to see what he can do!!
-
This is sickening now.
-
Bobcats should have watched a little film.......Cam Miller is going to run the ball.
-
Maybe I should be thanking him as he (and Danny) likely aided in moving the program to a fresh start. The tough part of saying this is on the personal side I like, admire, respect Bubba. I have known both Bubba and Schmidty for a long time, it's been an interesting dynamic. But pro-Schmidty 100%, we needed new perspective and leadership.
-
Tell me more about "Run Away Sam" and why would we want him back. Did he start for the Jacks last season? I guess pulling a starter away from the Jacks would be a decent reason.
-
Haug might have to burn some sage or something because TEs historically come to UND to die a slow blocking death.
-
There was the Clean Victory enhanced speeches by Ben Newman who Klieman paid on the side..... (not paid by the University) The same speeches the helped Clemson beat the crap out of Bama for a few Nattys. But probably all coincidences.
-
Recruit. Pay. Develop. Pay. Retain. Win.(repeat) Bubba didn't like the rules but that's not reality. Schmidty is playing by the rules, doesn't mean he's happy with the landscape but adjust and survive, then thrive. 1883 Collective, embrace it.
-
Sounds like sour grapes. There are No Rules ANYMORE!! If the coaches leaving think a few Jacks can help them win games at the next stop of course they are going to ask.
-
Although some feelings were hurt Danny leaving was a major event. It showed he didn't believe in his future job security at UND. Then, a few players and O-line coach showed the same sentiment. Next, we had the Jake the Snake incident, followed by questionable QB management, SleepGate, then continually disappointing road results. One could argue in putting himself first Danny also put UND first. We are now in a better position with Schmidty(I believe) and Danny is part of a movement that is gutting the Jacks. All while tripling his salary and making him a future HC option at FCS and/or FBS. What a wild ride!!
