If we only score 10 against them....Rudy is not getting on the plane back!
-
On thinking of it is raining, and with our kicker.....I'm thinking it will be 4 down territory unless we are inside 10 yard line!
-
We are all so damn thirsty for a big win, we need to pull off this upset! There will be ZERO moral victories in this game even if we lose by one point.
-
Well here I was going to say I'd probably rather have it really windy than rainy. DB's can slip in the rain too, and the WR's know where they are going and DB's have to adjust and if they slip and fall down it's a TD. For our sake we'll hope your QB is not good at throwing the ball in wet weather. I sure hope the temperature has dropped some by game time, our guys won't be use to that.
-
I was thinking the same thing....Chaz makes an appearance on every look alike thread lol.
-
I will be at the NAU game. I will prevent him from boarding the plane back to ND if things haven't changed offensively by then.

I agree with the a lot in common as far as fan bases. I think SHSU is probably the only other team that gets ripped on more on the FCS Fans Nation page on FB than UND. Both of our teams and fan bases are very eager to stick it to some of those other teams and fan bases, I know I am!

I hope Brady is healthy for this game. If we can't out run them, Brady might just have to run right over them. I'm hoping there is good news about the dings with our OL and they can play.

Santiago's long run came on like a 3rd and 8 with a draw. Imagine if he only gained two yards, the board would have erupted on how Bubba and Rudy are just playing it safe and not to win the game by running the ball on 3rd and long. But the guys make their blocks, Santiago make some moves and it's by far our best play of the day and all of the sudden it's a spectacular call. That draw has worked a number of times on 3rd and long the last couple of years, it's also been stuff sometimes too. I've been critical of Rudy sometimes like others have, but I think he is going to call a more diverse game like he did in the 1st game. Rudy does need to produce this year though, no more excuses.

They are definitely garbage at the beginning of the year. They shouldn't even do a poll until at least 3-4 games in. Some teams play D2 teams or FBS teams in the first game or two, it's really hard to tell much of anything. And if you are lucky enough to get ranked high before the season starts, you can still remain in the rankings with a loss. While if you don't start ranked, it's an uphill battle to get in. And when it comes to playoff time sometimes perception is reality, if you are ranked....you are more likely to get in. I am hoping that after this year we will start future seasons already in the rankings, like we did last year, and be able to use that to our advantage. IMO we should always be in the rankings to start the year and of course the goal is to consistently be a Top 10 team or better.

We didn't get a single vote in the coaches poll. So if we pull off an upset against Sam Houston, what's the highest you think we'd jump into the poll....if at all. If we win I'd think we'd at least have to jump into the top 25. https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/football/fcs/fcs-coaches-poll

Hey Mister Sensitivity, honest question so we can understand you better. Did you play or coach college ball, DI, DIi, NAIA, or any level. Seriously not a knock, just an honest question. Perhaps if we understand you background and expertise we can understand your posts a bit better. You may have lot more experience on these things that we give you credit for. Obviously Gundy and Geausiux have played and most respect their insight, and they generally speak the truth without too much Kelly green glasses. You honestly may have more experience etc. that we are not aware of. Perhaps if you share that we wont be as critical. Go Signed "Jason" aka delusional loser

This Some people think the more they post the smarter they are.

Lets crush them!

Biggest positive for me......we held our own in the trenches on both sides of the ball and Tank and still missing one starter on OL. I thought we would get man handled a bit.
-
Ok, I can totally understand that then. I was hoping there was a legit reason, makes sense. Would have been demoralizing for him I would think not to play more if he was healthy. Thanks for the info.

I have more hope for our secondary after this game, compared to last week. A few times guys were open, yes. Many of the pass plays were perfect dimes or back shoulder throws that are nearly impossible to defend but our guys were right there. That corner TD catch towards the end, Harris was right there, was just a perfect adjustment by WR to come back and get that.
-
My biggest disappointment today is Brady only getting 3 carries. Unless there was some specific reason, I just can't understand that. A guy who is a senior and done a lot for UND football the past 4 years......you barely use him in the BIGGEST game he will ever play in. Shameful in my opinion and I feel bad for Brady. JJ is not better than Brady and should not have gotten more playing time than Brady who is a senior and proven his worth.

Me too!!

Our OL has held their own, gives me hope for them this year. Holding their stuff RB to 13 yards on 10 Carrie's in first half...was impressive
-
Well Rudy that was a great call on 3rd down, fumble ruined it.
-
I agree, that second down pass play never had a chance he wasnt going to fool them.
-
He was trying to pass to appease people on this fan board.

We know

I agree
