We were all pretty excited when we got Feeney, and even more excited when we got Jerry. I'm not convinced yet that either of them were busts....nor can't be good D1 QB's, particularly Jerry.

Here are his stats for the year. 55% completion percentage and 5 INT's with 4TD's in 5 games. Yet we can't question whether or not the Wisconsin player of the year with all of the measurable and a PWO from Wisconsin, son of a coach might not give us a better chance to win? I was, have, and will root for Romfo to do well. But if you look at the stats and watch the games.....it hasn't been good. Yes we won the last 3 games, that doesn't mean we couldn't have won them with Jerry starting. Im sure Jerry could run the RPO and hand off 95% of the time. I don't like to knock a kid, especially from ND, but so far appears to be the poorest passing QB that UND has had in 40 years. Not sure how you could even dispute that so far....but hey let's roll with him because our team is to fragile to handle us making a change at QB. Did every other UND QB that didn't start until they were a junior or senior get to use the excuse......"they haven't played in a real game in 4 years". I don't remember that excuse ever being made in the past, usually it made us feel good that a new starting QB was an upper classmen and has been in the system. I will be rooting for Romfo and his passing to improve, because unless he gets injured he is obviously not leaving the field. For the most part I backed and stood up for Tommy because there were definitely a few Tommy haters, and while Tommy had a few limitations he was pretty damn good.

If there is no separation, usually better if it's under thrown...almost always get a flag when receiver comes back for the ball

Passing: 2-5 for 11 yards. That is beyond pathetic. I don't want to hear about it's only his 3rd or 4th start. Didn't Klancher and Klostermen start as reshman? Heck when Tommy came in off the bench as a true freshman when running scout team in practice and came in against Sam Houston and looked way better than Romfo. Romfo is a small town ND kid. If he was out of state kid, nobody would think his performance was acceptable and be making all kinds of excuses.

Makes me think of Jimmy 'Fylingsaucer' out running the NDSU DB's in the Fargodome as he had black pants on, although woulda been white tops since on the road. Probably just reminds me of that era as I think they work the black pants a lot in the mid to late 90's. I'm ok with that combo, but I'd still like to see the Green helmet, green jersey, white pants at some point.

I agree with this, since our defense let them score on 3 straight drives....I think they kept Romfo out there....plus he obviously needs reps and practice on some of his throws. And this is coming from a guy who wanted to see plenty of Jerry in 2nd half when we were up 38-7 at half. I hope there is still a chance the next two games where Jerry gets more than a kneel down snap.

That was an impressive run, actually they both were. But who do you take carries away from....Z, Smith, Seidl? Agree we need to get more stuff outside. They pretty much bottled up Z today. Hunt seems like he should be on kickoffs with Seidl.

As much as we may have wanted to run it down their throats on that drive, I'm ok with those passes, Romfo needs to continue to get more comfortable throwing the ball and those types of passes. We drove down the field by mostly passing the ball, I'm ok with that.

At a minimum Jerry better get the whole 4th quarter and would like to see him running the offense and not just hand the ball off.
