There are definitely culture issues on the road, but definitely scheme issues were a problem against YSU. To let them rush for 300 yards when they are a sub par team is just complete crap and should be embarrassed as a DC. We'll see if the scheme is improved today against another running QB.

If we would have beaten YSU and then ISU this weekend, the Alerus would have been completely rocking for SDSU!! I'm sure it will still be rocking, but it won't be the same. So the whole play relied on YSU not covering Norby when he ran out in the flat. The defender went with Norby....so play basically blown up at that point. Pinning the hopes of winning the game on the defense not covering a guy. I wondered if they ran that play the previous week to set something up in the future. They did, and if it was 4th half a yard maybe the defense focuses 100 percent on the run. When I saw that formation my guess it was going to be some type of miss direction pass and the defense new it too.
