I totally agree, I like the way it is. Yes only the top 8 teams really have a chance to win it all, in my opinion. However it keeps a lot more interest and hope for fans of schools outside of that top 8. Our season would have probably been over after the Idaho loss even if we won out and had beaten Weber. I'm hoping that at some point we are consistently one of those top 10 teams, but I like the format and the interest it generates all the way until the last week of the season.

In Hauck's second year he has Montana back as real contenders. We piss pounded them last year, since then he has molded them into top 5 team. Meanwhile we are doing what we do every year......bubble playoff team. Only good thing about this is maybe Montana becomes a top power and is a team that can knock off NDSU at some point. We know SDSU never will when it matters. God knows we are light years away from competing against NDSU. With NDSU's QB being a freshman and as good as he is, can pretty much pencil in NDSU with 3 out of the next 4 titles. And believe me....I have no joy in saying any of this, but it is reality. Top two teams I hate the most......NDSU and Montana.

To think that we got a pick in the endzone, blocked a punt and returned it for a TD. Lucked out on a no fumble call on Boltmann along the sidelines (sure looked like a fumble). All of that and we only won by 7.

Barely beating UNC at the end of the year might be a factor in keeping us out. I'm not saying we for sure aren't making the playoffs. But we just gave the committee more doubt if they are choosing between us and another team.

Schmidt can be so good sometimes.......but yet so bad sometimes. All of us couch potatoes could see needed to double cover 13. This team is so frustrating.

Bubba just found a way to screw us out of the playoffs......but win 7 games so he keeps his job. Brilliant work Bubba.....brilliant.

I agree. I want playoffs so bad, but I'm so upset part of me almost wishes we'd lose this so we'd have reason for firing Bubba and starting over. Other than Drake every win we have has been a nail biter. But our losses have been blowouts.

And I bet Weber is getting pummled, yeah we likely just lost our shot at playoffs.

He should damn near be fired just for putting Schuster in for one play. Given everything else during the Bubba Era......last week was nice....but was a loss. Here we are again looking like a Bubba team. No Bubba team will ever with a Championship.

Yeah a 7 point win against UNC doesn't look good when they are nitpicking things I'm assuming UNC scores another TD.

What happens if Kett gets hurt next week, and we get a playoff game and win it and Kett is still hurt. If that happened and we played two playoff games Schuster would have burned an entire year to hand the damn ball off. Does Bubba not expect us to play two off games? That decision was so mindless and stupid I can't believe it.

I hope somebody straight up asks Bubba's who's decision it was to put Schuster in. In the end it may not matter.....but that was SO freaking stupid.
