  1. Our OL has held their own, gives me hope for them this year. Holding their stuff RB to 13 yards on 10 Carrie's in first half...was impressive
  2. Well Rudy that was a great call on 3rd down, fumble ruined it.
  3. I agree, that second down pass play never had a chance he wasnt going to fool them.
  4. He was trying to pass to appease people on this fan board.
  5. There are some that complained about Taubs…..boy I bet they wish we still had him. That was one of the worst FG kicks I've seen, not sure if this kicker is going to work. Better get on the horn to somebody and figure this out, it's going to suck if our kicker is 25% conversion rate from 40 yards. Currently 0%.....Ugh.
  6. Well all of you that wanted him to go for it on 4th down got your wish
  7. Or maybe he thought, our defense is playing well.....if we punt and get them to go three and out, we get ball back at mid field. Hind sight is always 20-20. If we didnt make it and Washington got the ball at mid field and took it in and scored, guarantee some of you would have said Bubba was desperate by going for it that early.
  8. For those who hadn't seen this yet...somebody posted this link: http://oklivetv.com/pac-12-network-live/ The Oregon - Portland St. game is on right now and sounds like the Washington - UND game will be on there. Don't have to download anything. I don't think there are any other Pac 12 games until around 6:30 Central Time so I would assume they would be showing the UW-UND game.
  9. 7-0 UND Santiago returns opening kickoff for a TD. A storm rolls in and lighting strikes and they have to call the game 2 minutes in.
  10. Nice feature on the OL, I'm sure it gets to them when everybody says they aren't good enough or are the weak spot. Hopefully they will step it up and play out of their minds this Saturday and then continue to gel throughout the year.
  11. I could be wrong, but he probably meant didn't go to either UND or NDSU and just didn't have strong enough ties one way or another to hate one and only rule for the other. My dad went to grad school at NDSU, both me and my brother went to UND and he became a UND fan. However with NDSU's recent success he has rooted for NDSU during their run but still roots for UND. I told him last night I'd send him that Pac12 link somebody posted to watch the game. As for the topic of this thread. On top of what others have said, I also think we need to break a big play or two. Maybe broken coverage on Washington's part, or Santiago finds one of those seems he had when he was a freshman and takes one 65 yards to the house. I doubt we will methodically march down the field against Washington so we will need some big plays.
  12. That would be awesome if that actually works, no subscription or anything needed.
  13. Play action and hit the tight end down the middle. I agree though, please do not run twice up the middle so that we are at third and long. I'm ok if it's 3rd and 10 due to two incomplete passes, at least we tried.
  14. Anybody in the Phoenix/Mesa area planning on trying to go to a bar to watch it? I know RT O'Sullivans has held hockey watch parties before, and I think NDSU football watch parties.
  15. The UND site lists game time at 4PM so I assume that is Central Time right? Anybody in the Phoenix/Mesa area planning on going to a bar with the Pac12 Network to watch the game??
  16. I think some people were just a bit underwhelmed in our opener, particularly by the defense in the first half. That said, it gave the team a lot of things to work and focus on this week. Also even though Washington is a tall task, we will all be rooting on our players and the team and watching. Realistically us as fans are not expecting a win, but I know I'm expecting them to compete each and every play. As a team you and coaching staff you do have to go into it with a mindset of winning and pulling of a big upset. Take it one play at a time, try and beat the man across from you, and don't ever quit. They all lace up their shoes the same way, just play sound fundamental football and lay it all out there is all we ask, and is what I'm sure they will do. I'm hoping some of our playmakers like Santiago, Brady and others make a few nice plays and we compete and put up a better performance than Montana did last year.
  17. Perhaps you should take a queue from your own comment on the Washington game thread where you said this......"Sure, you are all right that UND will likely lose by a lot, but if you screw up how the message is sent to the team, you could see a negative effect the rest of the season. Instead of saying UND's corners are just plain bad, maybe you should have said UND's corners were bad that first game, particularly the first half, and really need to pick it up the rest of the way.
  18. Also I think playing a team that we are expected to beat by 40 doesn't help draw much of a walk up crowd.
  19. Yeah but good opportunity to put the place kicker in a tough Live situation. He's never kicked in a game before. We may be lucky to even get a field goal chance next week. Would like him to have attempted 2 or 3 in this game to get some Live action.
  20. You've got that right. Sam Houston is going to carve us up.
  21. I'm afraid of what Sammy is going to do to our secondary.
  22. Yep he looks confident. And doesn't seem to always be keying on his first read as much.
