I agree, sure we do need some better players. Look at Hauck at Montana. In his second year his team throttled this Idaho State team and he has Montana back as a top 10 team. Anybody think Bubba would have Montana back in top ten in his second year.

I agree, Gee has been pretty good. Seems like early on a few people didn't seem to be too high on him, but he's been pretty effective and good catching the ball.

Hopefully he is healthy or close to it. However I wouldn't be playing him at this point yet even if he is healthy, i'd save him in case we have more injuries at RB. Gordon has been out, if JJ goes down or something then we may need him. I'm anxious to see what he has too, but I'd rather keep him on the shelf a little longer to preserve his red shirt should we actually need to play him later due to injury. I hope Gordon can get back to healthy, I thought he would be good in this offense.

That would be just our luck. We are already playing one less game than many schools. If we went 6-4 instead of 7-4....you know they'd love to leave us out.

I really don't think you are in the best position to be making this statement, as you had a lot of negatives after the Davis win. And you have said a number of times how we don't have DI players on our roster. We must have the best coaching staff in the FCS then because we are going to be over .500 this year and in the hunt for playoffs with a roster full of DII players. And speaking focusing on negatives, that seems to be one of your favorite things to do at times.....and repeat and repeat....even though many of us actually agree that there are many things that need to be improved upon. . You have had many positive posts this year too though, which is great to see. Let's beat Idaho State and keep the momentum going.

Having a real offensive coordinator gives me more confidence that we will find a way to win this game even if we have some things go the other way. I know we all thought the UC Davis game should have never been that close, but that win and the SHSU win help give the team more confidence in these close games and when things go wrong. The way that 2nd quarter of the SHSU game went I thought we were done, had seen it too many times before but they bounced back.

We'll see what happens, but I don't understand why any of these guys have played so far. None of them were needed as far as I know. It wasn't like there was a string of injuries and they had to go in. If you are thinking you might red shirt them, why would you play them in early games in the year, especially when they played in games like NDSU where we weren't going to win anyway. If they end up burning the red shirts on these guys i think it's a complete waste. Burn a whole year of coming in a few plays here and there when the games already been determined, verses having another entire year where you are starting and on top of your game. I agree that we do finally have some depth, which will make the decision to burn a red shirt if they do, even more ridiculous if they burn them for nothing.

Danny got in a groove in second half against EWU, and first have against Davis......hopefully this week we'll have some consistency all the way through. Although we may not have a first half, as good as last week, all year. We just can't have those spells where we go multiple series in a row going 3 and out. Especially since we don't have a punter...even if we don't score...have to move the ball a little, give the defense a rest....gain field position and slow the other teams roll. And I agree on cleaning up penalties. Last week I think we overcame penalties 3 times in the first half to get a first down, you're not always going to do that.....and we didn't in the second half. Think we had 3 false starts last week....and that might have been in first half alone.

We need to hope Montana State beats Sacramento this week. They have a bye week after that, so if they win they should stay around 6. If we win the next two weeks I'm thinking we will be somewhere between 15-20 going into the MSU game. If.....IF we are able to knock them off....we could jump close to top 10. Wait....I mean....when we knock them off Gotta win these next two weeks first though!

Not sure what the record for INT's is, but he's got two already with a lot of game left to play in his career at UND. You can tell he was recruited some at WR too.....he has the hands that most DB's don't have. Very few DB's actually pick off that deep pass.....that was a great catch! If Holm redshirts, next year with Seigel, Bluebaugh, Holm, and Fort......we probably have one of the better two deeps in the FCS at corner.

NDSU demolished #6 on the road, didn’t watch the game nor have looked at the stats, but I don’t think our showing in the Fargodome was any worse than the 6th ranked team in the country at home against them.

Definitely. And lets stop saying 'This Staff' started Hiedelbaugh over Zimm, I'm sure that was Rudy that had Zimm as 3rd string. Danny is head and shoulders above Rudy, and Danny recognized that if it came down to it Schuster would give us a better chance to win than Grover. That is a big call and recognizing that the true freshman would game better than Grover. I highly doubt Danny would have started Heiedelbaugh over Zimm. And yes I know the head coach in the end can decide who plays, but I think Bubba is relying on the OC to mostly decide or have strong input on that. And I'm with all of you that not starting Zimm against Montana was one of the biggest coaching blunders ever, that was ridiculous.

Exactly!! We have done this many times this season. I think there have be 4-5 times this year we hurried to the line to try and get a snap off, on a 3rd or 4th and short situation, I think every time we've gotten stuffed. Take your time and execute it correctly.

Not sure if I want to see him jawing back at UND fans, not a good look.

He should try some Adidas shoes though.....maybe he'd get some better distance, anything is worth a try at this point!

I agree, was crazy they stopped using him in second half as the QB from time to time, especially when we were struggling. I'm hoping Danny learns from this second half, Davis must have made some adjustments, but we didn't really counter. Masterful first half though.

Terrible game plan to start the game, are you kidding? We had 350 yards of offense and they couldn't stop us, we were up 28-14. Fortunately for them we ran QB sneak on 4th and 1 the time they did stop us. I'll take that game plan and execution to start a game every single week please.
