I think Danny found a new play last week. He would use JJ as a lead blocker for Kett right up the middle. Ran it 3-4 times and got good yardage each time. Not sure if we had run that play prior to that, we might have but we ran it a number of times last week and it was successful. Give JJ the start as a senior but give the ball to Skokna early and often. Thunder and lightning, but I want to see more lightning early in the game.

Goodness, it's called hedging your bet. If there are 16 teams........and if you bid....say 20k higher than 14 of them....but one team you know might put in a really high bid but it is unlikely you play them......you don't put that high Bid in on the off chance you get matched up with that one team. These bids were put in weeks ago, I don't recall one person ever thinking that we'd be matched up with Nichols. He hedge his bet....and lost. Prior to this year, I definitely wanted Kostich to go. However Special teams has been better this year, we've been the ones blocking punts this year and I don't think we've had one blocked. And I never get people who want a coach fired for a player missing a kick, dropping a pass, or making a bad pass. Our kickers are not great, Kostich I'm sure had a hand in recruiting them but at this point it is what it is as far as their capability. Every NBA coach that coached Shaq should have been fired since he was poor at shooting free throws apparently. The special teams.....as a 'team' meaning kick coverage, punt protection and punt rush have been good. Can't blame coaches for Skokna flubbing that one and Boltmann for that kickoff return.

I think Wilde will step up if he is healthy, he got a little dinged up yesterday. I think Cochran may have already played 4 games. Glad we made it in, bummed we don't have a home game. However I'm glad we are playing down south and not somewhere in snow and cold as we are now a finesse offense. Hopefully the weather is nice and no wind.
