I think it's more accurate to say you were about the only one who thought Jones could somehow turn things around after 8 years of .500 basketball. The rest of us knew better. And unfortunately this season is starting to look just like the others of the Jones era.
I heard that reasoning last year from someone posting on here. Or was it the year before? Or the year before that? Or the year before the year before, before? You get the idea.
You've been right for years, Darell. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing the same way over and over again, and expecting different results.
Seeing what happened during the Huff era years, my hopes were gone until a change is made. I don't care what the collateral damage may be in losing a player or 12 if Jones is let go; a new direction is all that can bring this program back to life and give fans hope and enthusiasm for UND basketball again.
i think most of us are beyond tired of the mediocrity. But for those who are apparently ok with it and feel CIT bids and .500 records from here to eternity are good enough, here's a little reminder from the man, the legend, Ricky Bobby
For as dysfunctional as this now appears, maybe it's been changed from unauthorized, to an authorized story of the Fighting Sioux....and they're just waiting to hear back from Standing Rock.
Just because us rubes haven't heard anything, doesn't mean there haven't been talks or a plan in place for negotiations. I agree with UNDBIZ.
